The Lodge is a short walking distance to all facilities in town. We had lunch at The Dome (good traditional home cooked food, excellent cakes and coffee). Evening meals - there are Chinese, Indian and Chippy take aways which we did not try but looked busy. We had a nice meal at Little's restaurant and a cheap one in Wetherspoons which was OK. There is also Angus Hotel for meals which we've used previously. Nice walk along the river and back into town. Easy drive to Scone to walk the Quarrymill trails and enjoy the Macmillan Cafe and Scone Arms Hotel for lunch. In Spring nice trip to see the Ospreys at Loch of Lowes and Dunkeld & Birnam.

Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit.

Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit. Couldn't believe the amount of new houses. Lots of changes in the centre too. The town is very central for driving out and about and there are several pubs and restaurants in the outlying district.. Would recommend The Old Cross Inn in Rattray, the Ardler Tavern and the Alyth chip shop. Also thanks to Halfords for finding the cause of my car's slow puncture and fitting 2 new tyres.

Blairgowrie is a little sleepy town, that really benefits from the nature that surrounds it. There is a lack of quirky cafes, however you can find couple of nice restaurants nearby. Excellent location for exploring Scottish countryside.

We did not have time to explore as this was just a stopover. I would point out that we walked into the town centre at about 4-30pm and found that the majority of the shops had already closed. The town appeared very quiet and a bit run down but is well-situated for surrounding attractions.

No parking in either front or back car park and can’t pre book. Not good enough as I have blue badge! Customers smoking in front of front door, had to walk through smoke! Steam room switched off all weekend and sauna had maintenance planned on Monday - Friday?

If you're just looking for an affordable, convenient B&B in Blairgowrie to stay for a night or two then this place is definitely not for you. Rene and Britta are two of the warmest , most welcoming B&B hosts I have come across. Their house is your house. They go the extra mile in all aspects of your stay. From the wonderful coffee, the breakfast and their desire to get to know their guests - they really are second to none. And the whisky is pretty good too!. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

The old Bakery was absolutely spotless. Clean, quiet, very cosy and right in the heart of Blairgowrie. With your own kitchen, lounge bathroom and bedroom, it was just perfect. Even though it is in the centre of town the noise is to a minimum. There is even disposable ear plugs if you really felt you needed them (Which I didn't) There is plenty of places to eat and drink right on your doorstep. It was just a lovely experience staying at the Old Bakery and I will definitely return.

Liked the location in relation to the centre of Blairgowrie with a good restaurant nearby. It was very quiet - good parking. Rooms immaculate; lovely breakfast - couldn’t finish it! Very comfy beds and the room had everything we needed. Our host was really welcoming and so helpful. We were cycling around the area and there was plenty of space to park our bikes safely. Would definitely return and would recommend The Laurels to anyone.

Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff are really nice and helpful. The food is excellent and portions are large. The menu is extensive and very good for those of a veggie disposition. Restaurant and bar prices are very reasonable and god value for money. The hotel is easy to locate and a useful stopping-off point on the route to the North Coast 500. Good wifi. Excellent shower and toiletries.

On our way from Isle of Skye to Edinburgh we stopped in Blairgowrie and loved every second of it. We enjoyed our stay at Heathpark House very much. Meg and Chris were superkind hosts and we felt like home the minute we arrived. It is save to say that this was our favorite B&B-breakfast. Thank you again very much!

This was our second stay at the Lodge and the standard is just as good. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Although building work is still ongoing on the site, it did not disturb us. Our only disappointment was with Blairgowrie itself and the lack of choice of places to dine in the evening.

Cosy, quaint little bothy with a real fire, plus an additional electric radiator, lovely room, so nice to lie in bed with the log burner gently lighting the room, well equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. Wi-fi via phones was good as well. Great area if you're a walker.

The extensive breakfast was well presented and offered a wide range of choice. The receptionist was great - very helpful and friendly. We were only briefly staying in Blairgowrie in order to go on a beaver watch so we didn't really use the hotel facilities much.
