The staff were lovely and the location is also very nice and peaceful. Ideal for kids as there is a big play area attached to the hotel. The food is very nice and a reasonable price.

Stunning location.
Plenty of car parking space.
Very clean all round. Great friendly staff.
Good food in the restaurant and a very good pub.
Room was spacious and clean.
TV needed tuning in as all the channels were wrong and unavailable (minor hiccup)
If you're staying a while and have a lot of luggage beware as their are a lots of stairs leading to your room, especially if you are on the top floor.

Breakfast was great, we had the veggie full English and there was plenty of it! The location was handy for our needs, parking was easy (public car park behind the pub) although of course we had to pay for it. The team were super friendly and helpful. We were in a huge rush when we checked in and they were really accommodating to our needs. Thank you!

Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a nice view of the garden. The extra large bed was very comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of car parking available free of charge.
We would return, mainly for the quality of the room.

The hotel, location, local scenery and roaring log fires were all superb. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
Unfortunately we really don’t like “fine” dining and so couldn’t use the main restaurant. Dishes such as raw mackerel, eel or turnip are just not for us and I just wish they would put on a fillet steak and a fish dish for those that don’t like fine dining but do like eating in more upmarket, and more traditional, restaurants. Although there is a brasserie style restaurant it doesn't have the same ambience and we found ourselves eating out most nights.

The scenery is magnificent and historic towns are within easy reach.
The Abbey itself was destroyed in Henry viii's time, but half of the church was rebuilt/restored in the 10th century.
A lovely place to relax and dream.
Excellent hotel in beautiful grounds and lovely rooms, polite and pleasant staff and excellent breakfast choices, but this is all what would be expected for the price charged. A very nice welcome pack in each room, and gowns and slippers provided. The spa facilities are in a separate building across the road, it was very nice but it is advisable to prebook as spaces for treatments are limited, and even use of the pool etc. had to be booked to prevent overcrowding.
It accommodated our three families (from 4 to 80 years old)very well. Lots of space to cook, eat, relax, play and sleep.
Nice traditional house with many original (18th C ?) features, in a quiet location but with ready access to several of the Dales iconic locations (Malham,Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Cow & Calf Rocks to name a few).
All the things we would need inc. two fridges, microwave, dishwasher, washing/drying machines
The loveliest cottage in the more beautiful location. Had everything we needed as a family with young children and was very cosy and comfortable. Really well equipped. The setting is stunning with beautiful gardens and we had a lovely time exploring the nearby Bolton Abbey and Dales.
Loved the use of the spa was a fantastic benefit and the location; we walked from the hotel to the Abbey which was beautiful and we got engaged along the way! The welcome hamper was a fabulous touch and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All staff we encountered were super lovely.
Staff, location. Room was warm and comfortable and as requested on a lower floor. Grounds and location to Bolton Abbey. Free parking to several car parks at Bolton Abbey and a discount for the cafe/shop at the pavilion is given to the guests. Very dog friendly
Location perfect for a short drive to Bolton Abbey . Cottage was full of character and very interesting to read about its history . Very clean and well presented . Lovely spacious lounge . Lots of outside space to use
Great location for travelling to Bolton Abbey area and a wedding at the Tithe Barn. Very comfortable cottage, very nicely furnished, clean and well equipped. Lovely garden area with river running through.
Hotel in a beautiful setting
Room was exceptionally clean and a touch of luxury
Breakfast was amazing!
Spa a lovely added extra too.
Will definitely return later this year for another overnight stay 😁
The cottage and location were excellent. We were there to attend a wedding at Bolton Abbey church and the Tythe Barn. It was a wonderful weekend helped by the wonderful accommodation.
A great experience and great time. Clean. Fun. More than just a hotel. The spa was amazing. The seating was sublime. Staff were a cut above what you would expect.
