The owner (I think his name was Richard) was so nice and friendly - we had a really warm welcome that continued throughout our stay.
The room was clean, and trendy - it had been recently renovated but was renovated to a standard that was inkeeping with the historical feel of the building, with antique furniture and up cycled featured - the room was tasteful and beautiful. I slept really well, and the breakfast was really great. The location is perfect, pretty much smack in the middle of Bourne. I highly recommend this for anyone!

Bourne is a small place but plenty of facilities. Stamford is only just down the road and has everything you could wish for. So, you can have a busy day shopping and siteseeing in Stamford and return to the tranquility of Bourne for a quiet night and a good sleep. Smithys is good for eating and there are several nice pubs in easy walking distance. Even the Wetherspoons has friendly staff

I grew up in Bourne and was only revisiting to attend a family funeral. The surrounding countryside to the north and west is however lovely and Stamford, where I was born, is a beautiful town to visit.

We have been coming to Bourne for many years to visit family. We are always made to feel welcome, would not hesitate to recommend Bourne for anyone to spend time in and use as a base to visit surrounding countryside.

Bourne is a beautiful little village set in wonderful countryside. Perfect for a quiet break or country walks. We only visited the actual town once since we spent our actual stay in Toft and Northorpe so cannot comment on other attractions/activities available. Upstairs there’s everything you could possibly need in terms of a very well fitted out kitchen, dining area and comfortable sofa, TV etc. There is also a gated courtyard where you can park. Great for not having to take everything out of the car. Roger the owner also has most of the small things you need to get started in the kitchen, milk, coffee, ketchup, dishwasher tablets etc. Excellent!
