Came here after going to paultons and staying in Southampton for the night before and not wanting to come home.
Sunning caravan. Really well looked after. Cosy, gorgeous bedding and absolutely everything you need there. Didn't use the pool as arrived late but could have as passes came with it. Would love to stay longer and explore more soon :)

Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel & Spa Bournemouth was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.
Chosen for location to family in wimborne. The lady greeted us warmly on reception.
The room was not 'the kings suite' as advised by the receptionist but a basic (tired) double room.
The door lock didn't seem to be working so I propped the folding luggage wrack behind the door. We arrived very late so just wanted to sleep otherwise I would have asked to change rooms.
The bath was rusty, didn't hold the water, had dirty grout & towel rail wasn't working. Apparently according to the room information non slip bath mats are available from reception - not helpful as you are stepping into the bath before reading the info.
The windows with tatty net curtain let in the outside road noise & there were stains on the carpet but it did have a bottle of tap drinking water but no hot chocolate or biscuit. The room had an iron & ironing board but no hair dryer. Toiletries were a small soap & shower/bath gel (15ml?).
Unfortunately the gentleman next door intermittently coughed & snored so I didn't get much sleep which is obviously out of control of the hotel except for the thin walls.
The room heating wasn't on but there was a small adjustable heater. The bed was firmer than what I am used to (personal preference) the pillows were comfortable.
Would I pay £70 for one person for one night again there - no

The good thing was the sauna and hot tub and the space in the house. Guttering blocked so may at front door getting soaking wet.
Outside the house is surrounded by other properties
The house needs some refurbishment on dining chairs cutlery and plates. It needs protective covers for the beds and pillows and i expect more than one pillow each.
There are bit’s around the house that look tired. I didn’t feel it was value for money and the huge security deposit of £1000 is steep. The grill should have been clean and then not send the cleaners until lunchtime the next day. This basic things like the tin opener not working and only 2 tea towels made it feel more budget.

Ferndown like Ringwood, Wimborne, Poole and all other surrounding towns and villages are very pretty, the beaches are clean and safe it really is a beautiful part of the country. There are loads of great pubs. Lots of main roads, were expecting country lanes so pleasantly surprised how easy and quick it was to get around.

Very good place to stay
Very good place to stay
Liked: It was a very nice place to stay for us and children. Comfortable beds and black window blinds were exactly what we needed in bedrooms after long days out. Master bedroom is ensuite (shower, toilet, sink and storage spaces). Kitchenette well equipped - there was everything we needed to prepare some meals. Another great and convenient point was a washing/dryer machine. Big wardrobes helped us to stay organised. There is an elevator in the building, so really easy access to the flat. We liked also the private parking (with coded gate), despite we drive a big car and it was a bit tricky to park it there. Plenty of shops around same as a good choice of restaurants to pick. Overall we would recommend to stay in this flat. It was a good base for our excursions.
Disliked:
1. Kitchenette cupboards doors should be cleaned better (as some of them were a bit sticky/greasy) 2. I would add colander to the kitchenette equipment
3. Shower hose in the bathroom was broken
4. Towels were not nice as they were very dark and left plenty of bobbings/fluff on the skin and surfaces (once I've dried out the skin bath was covered with these small dark fluffs from the towel)
5. Missed a mop (or something) to wipe off the floor in the bathroom (after childrens bath).

Good size rooms, staff not friendly, more I interested in the golfers, breakfast not great very basic cooked breakfast, poor service, found long hairs in bed
spa facilities looked good.
would not stay here again
Perfect location for Bournemouth, we visited twice. The park is good too and dog friendly. We were able to go to the clubhouse and see the entertainment, without our passes, however we couldnt use the pool, but there is a good one 5 minutes away in Ferndown. Quiet location and it is well kitted out with dishwasher and washing machine. Showers are good too. There is a nice veranda around the property so kids and dog could go outside without running off. Roger was very easy to communicate with and help, if we needed him.
I booked this hotel as we had a funeral to attend in the local area. Due to some last minute changes, my husband and son attended the funeral and the hotel kindly changed the booking from a double to twin room. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout their stay and the hotel ideal. Room was warm, perfectly clean and comfortable. The spa looked lovely and the lounge bar was perfect for few pints and watching the footy. Highly recommend.
All the staff were very friendly, polite & helpful. The breakfast was very tasty & the waiting staff were very attentive. Our room was comfortable, clean & bright. Communal areas were well decorated & clean. Lovely bright reception area with comfortable seating.
It's such a shame this hotel is closing, along with the golf course. We would definitely have returned as it's so well situated for the New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole & surrounding area.
We absolutely loved this hotel - our only regret is that we were only there for 1 night and spent very little time at the hotel! But from what we saw - the staff were absolutely lovely, the room was spacious, clean and had a stunning view over the harbor and the location was perfect to explore the beautiful Northumberland coastline. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food - but the dining room looked great!
Stayed in the family room, which was located in a separate area to the main hotel. Lovey big room with plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 children. Children loved the chocolate and biscuits left for us. Water in the mini fridge was nice. Plenty of towels and lovely hot water in the shower.
Breakfast was nice, restaurant over looks the golf course.
Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Incredible value for money! I've stayed in lots of hotels whilst working in Poole for 3 months. I wish I found this one sooner! By far the cleanest! Very comfy bed! Lovely view out the back by the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food & wine was good, carvery could have been a little warmer but I arrived from work just before it closed, so I was happy to get a warm meal.
we were upgraded on arrival as the hotel had had cancellations due to the Queens death. So we had a lovely river side view room which didnt cost us any more. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate both nights in the hotel and the food was good on both occasions. Breakfast was great and plenty to choose from.
Paid a small additional charge to upgrade our room, which overlooked a quiet area of green space at the back of the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel has ample parking, which was important to us, and the location was ideal for a relatively quick drive into Poole to catch the ferry the following morning.
the cost was great value for money , didn't use the pool , steam etc looks great , the staff were very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them , the breakfast was great and sets you up for the day , stayed here before and will stay again when in the area
Breakfast - wow wow wow. honestly the best breakfast buffet i have ever had! proper bacon, eggs were perfect, hasbrowns were crunchy and soft as they should be! the main areas of the hotel are lovely and modern.
Good location, about 30 minutes drive from Lulworth Cove for example. Good restaurant and bar in the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, warm and a good size.
Lovely decorated and the staff were amazing. Breakfast quality and selection was the best I have had for a long time. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels.
