It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about.
A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about.
There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times.
For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.

Not many more pubs or restaurants to choose from in Kelso
I stayed here 1 night during my 5 days tour of Scottish borders and this hotel was the best place I stayed during the trip. It's right in the centre of Kelso and really easy to find, but my room was still quiet.
Staff was were amazingly friendly and helpful despite being busy. Room was clean and comfortable, and nicely done up. I had both dinner and breakfast in the bar, which I was very happy with. Next time I'm in Kelso I'll be staying here again!
The property is ideally suited for exploring the Scottish Borders and all this beautiful area has to offer. There is a comfortable double (with a further single off it suitable perhaps got a child and smother single bedroom. There is a further double that pulls down from a cupboard in the sitting room so plenty of beds for a family of any size. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a good dining room off this. Would thoroughly recommend.
Graham was a very welcoming, friendly and attentive host. Bellevue Guest House is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from Kelso town centre. There is private parking behind the house. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was outstanding, using local produce, and by far the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go back again.
The hotel has a lovely old school charm. It's very traditional with classy decor and decorative features. The setting is superb, right on the banks of the Tweed but also central in the town of Kelso, where everything is just a few minutes walk.
The breakfast was very good, and so nice to be able to choose from a menu and have the meal brought by a waiter or waitress.
The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and helpful. The location of the property is in a quiet residential area just outside the town centre, walkable in 10 minutes. The recreation room is excellent with plenty of entertainment and a fully kitted out kitchen.
The cottage was cosy and everything I could want for a solo stay with work. The bathroom is fabulous, the cottage roasting and the bed very very comfortable. Close enough for travelling each day to Kelso for work.
This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.
