We loved the open plan loft space, which was light, airy, spacious and well furnished. We loved the location which was not far from the station carpark (where we were able to leave the car), and only a few metres from the start of The West Highland Way.
Boasting a garden and views of the mountain, West Highland Way Campsite is a campground set in a historic building in Milngavie, 8.9 km from Mugdock Country Park.

The host was amazing and did everything most humanly possible to make our stay the best ever it was comfy , warm and very clean and the hospitality was out of this world , absolutely amazing place
We live in Kent and have family in Scotland we regularly visit and this was our first time at this hotel. Really good value for money and lovely food. Breakfast was excellent! Some parts of the hotel were in need of a fresh lick of paint but considering it’s an old building it was very well kept. Our room was very clean however the carpet on the stairways were in need of a Hoover but there was some work going on in one of the rooms which may have been why.
Overall we would most definitely book this hotel again.
Staff were excellent and very helpful. Both attentive and understanding. Nothing was too much. Could not fault the service. All food, the breakfasts and the dinner we had were cooked to perfection. The dinner was very good value. That the hotel serves lunches to seniors was obviously a very welcome gesture to locals. The bar was filled on both days of our stay. The room we stayed in was large and had a tv over the bath. Dog friendly in an area of Scotland with numerous walks right from the door.
Was a very cosy welcoming country style hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful! Rooms were very spacious with very comfy beds. We also had dinner in the bar of the hotel and the food was freshly cooked with very fast service and very reasonably priced, Would highly recommend this hotel with you want a quiet get away.
My family stay in the area so this is our new go to hotel for family visits.
The room was so clean and fresh, they rang before hand to check the beds required in the family room - so very helpful.
Paul and all the staff were fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was lovely too!
Friendly staff Excellent breakfast. Good meals served in restaurant. Room clean and refreshed daily Good location. Interesting that the hotel had a separate entrance from the main building, but it helped having the room key open the main entrance, so no need for late reception desk.
Second visit to the Glazert and all as expected, friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room, friendly and attentive service, generous breakfast. This is not a chain hotel it’s a proper hotel where people matter. Ticks all the boxes I need.
We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the meals were generous and well cooked, the rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, if possible.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the country, only a 24-minute drive to downtown Glasgow. The resturant is superb it has a full bar and a cosy fireplace. The breakfast is fantastic.
I love this hotel it’s so comfortable- the grounds are beautiful and the owners and staff are so friendly
My Scottish home away from home- thanks again
