Everything was lovely, highly recommended. Truly a gem, close to town. Comfy and quiet. Cooked breakfast was great and even packs of cereal for starters. Loads of space for parking.

Great location and hosts, could not do enough for us, a great knowledge of local spots and places to visit. Room was great and so were the views from our window overlooking a natural steam, shower room was massive and overall everything was spotless. Breakfast was great and no request for something different was a problem.

The location was good, close to local amenities. The cabin was beautiful. Everything we needed for a few nights away. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom.
The highlight for us was the views! They were absolutely stunning.

Beautiful interior of cottage. Comfy and delightful to stay in. We had excellent weather, but had it been bad, there was loads of interesting looking reading material to browse.
Alex was friendly and made us feel welcome.
That bath is quite special!
We loved the location, up the chapel path.

Was great to meet other guests in the communal lounge/tabletennis/games room...
Great value location for singles, couples or a small group of people wanting a communal base in Mach, where you can come and go, cook and chill...
It is 'rough and ready', but clean and friendly.
The owners live below this 'barn' building.. There are chickens and a Cockerell outside. They allow dogs.
Check in/out was basically on trust, with a sign saying if you see a key in a dor, that's your room... So I didnt see any 'staff' at all, but that's fine...
There is a 'communal' kitchen cupboard with essential foods to help yourself to (and replenish/add to if you can).
Bring towels... None were supplied.
Basically like a privately run 'youth hostel', but for ALL ages!

Most of all we were genuinely touched by how friendly and helpful people are there. When we were in Cemlyn nature reserve, we started chatting with a local and we mentioned that we are from Slovenia and that we would like to see some cliffs. He pointed some great ones for us to see. After saying goodbye we headed slowly to our car. Behind windshield wiper we found hand drawn map of the way to cliffs. We couldn't even speak! The nature is really amazing. Maybe we were lucky that we booked our trip in april because there were not many tourists and we had pleasent experience. But nevertheless people would always be great there, I'm sure.

Machynlleth is a great town to visit, but very quiet on Mondays with a lot of shops/cafes closed. MOMA is great for those enjoying gallery space and there are several antique shops for browsers. The Deli near the clock tower has wonderful offerings, sadly the kitchen was closed the day of my visit but I left with bags of goodies to eat later. I've been in love with Machynlleth for decades and will literally tell anyone to go there. Except don't, because I'd like to keep it for myself please. The highlight of one of this year's trips was the Machynlleth comedy festival which I'd not made it to before but was superb. Easy access to incredible beaches and incredible countryside. Some of the best (Michelin starred) restaurants in the country from Ynyshir to SY23 in Aberystwyth. If you like the peace and quiet away from people with great views from every window. Sheep in the fields to watch. But close enough to everything you need ie restaurants, takeaways, pubs, walks, beach, shops etc then you’ll enjoy it as much as we did. If you want to get away from the current troubles all around...
If you want to get away from the current troubles all around the world this is a good place to be! It has all the amenities needed along with a wonderful sense of stability and sanity. I felt refreshed on leaving - as I always do over 50 years of visiting this beautiful town. I will be back! The Co-op has a great store within a store for all sorts of bargains - like leather belts for €6 and quality copy perfumes for €4! And the nicest assistant ever!

When we arrived the only staff seemed stressed. When we return later it was very full of dinners and we couldn't a drink as there were no bar staff. We went to a local pub after waiting 15mins.
