Had the most gorgeous 2 night stay at The King. Stayed in the Super King room which is decorated beautifully and so classy. I’m sure the view from the room is one of the best in Fowey, overlooking the square and where the Polruan Ferry comes in. We stayed bed & breakfast and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We finished our second night stay with a cheese board and bottle of wine sat on the perfectly positioned chairs soaking up the view from our room…perfection. We had our dog with us as well and she was very welcomed by all. Richard and Harriet are wonderful hosts and their personal attention really made our stay.
A luxury hotel in Cornwall overlooking the Fowey’s attractive waterfront, the award-winning Old Quay House has a waterside terrace with estuary views. Wi-Fi is free to use.

The food wasn't great. The spa facility was run down and needed work as the steam room and hot tub had broken tiles and even had broken tiles in the bottom of the jacuzzi Floating about. The balcony was really dirty and covered in bird poo that hadn't been cleaned as it was had so been there a while

The rooms for families were great. It meant we could all be together.
It was raining but they organised lots of things for the kids to do.
The indoor pool was a god send and had a beautiful view over the estuary.

The property was in excellent condition and had fantastic views of the harbour, town and sea, the road down to the village is very steep so you will need to be fairly fit, Polperro is now my favourite place in Cornwall.

Lovely location, very picturesque.
Lovely location, very picturesque. Plenty of places to grab food and drinks. Parking is only available in the main car park which might seem pricy but I was happy to pay £40 there for the week (machines only take coins, no card). Ideal for getting up onto the SW Coast path and public transport was good.

Polperro is a lovely, 'quaint' fishing village in Cornwall.
Polperro is a lovely, 'quaint' fishing village in Cornwall. I have visited there 3 or 4 times - first in winter 1987 - I loved it then and still do now. We loved the walk from the 'Crumplehorn Inn', down to the sea, along the narrow roads. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night. I would recommend Polperro, and the Crumplehorn Inn and Mill, as a lovely place to visit and stay.

Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Lovely village. Some of the walks are a bit hilly for those who have difficulty with their mobility. It’s been some years since I have been there and inevitably since COVID some of the restaurants and pubs have closed but there were still enough to enjoy our stay.Would definitely recommend a visit.

Polperro is a beautiful picturesque village with narrow winding streets. Quaint shops, pubs and restaurants. The local people are friendly giving you a warm welcome and all in all a relaxing holiday. It is also a good place to stay for visiting other local attractions such as The Eden Project A trip into Plymouth, Looe and Padstow. The house of Props servers beautiful food in its lovely setting.
As the hotel is in an old building it was nice that the room was a decent size, as we also had our dog with us. Room was nicely clean and the bed comfy. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nice touches with good quality products in the room as well as fresh milk for tea and coffee. Also for the dog, towels to wipe her down, as this was mid winter, and the treat at breakfast were appreciated. Breakfast was excellent for the adults too, made to order with great produce.
The breakfast was excellent, with soft dried fruits, fresh fruit and yogurt (my favourite), whilst my husband enjoyed his full English. Nice music whilst we had our breakfast, a good play list. We slept well and had comfy beds. The hotel was extremely well situated, with a short stroll down to the harbour. Lovely flowers everywhere.
We mainly ate at the Blue Peter pub, which had good food and was very welcoming. Loved our short stay and would have liked to stay longer.
Immaculate!
A wonderful cottage in the heart of Polperro. As stylish as the pictures and a grade above most. The amount of small but meaningful touches enhanced my short break ( linen quality, Welcome basket, Digital guest books etc). A squeaky clean place to rest your head and explore. This is one of the best locations and holiday cottages I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend and will definitely return next time I’m in Cornwall.
We had a lovely welcome from Claire. Our room was spotless, cosy, very comfortabel too. Breakfast was lst class and staff very polite and pleasant nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky the weather was kind to us. Polperro is a very nice place to have a break with nice little shops and good food in local pubs. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Polperro. Natal House is a wonderful choice for Polperro, with parking and a short stroll to the harbour and eateries. Such a beautiful spot. Jacquie and Simon are great hosts and our room was lovely. Very comfortable, attractive, clean and well thought out with good wifi. Breakfast was delicious and we were sorry to leave.
Maz & Simon were excellent hosts, delicious breakfast using local ingredients and produce - beautifully cooked, extremely comfortable bed and large spacious room. Polperro is a stunning village with coastal walks, great bakeries, a chilli shop and fresh seafood served in all local eateries.
The caravan is on the older side but has been maintained really well, heats up well, is very close to polperro, it’s a little dangerous on foot as it’s a rural country road/lane that gets very narrow if cars are passing but in a car it’s a few mins.
The site is nice and quiet too.
The hotel was exceptional, based in the heart of Polperro with parking which was a real bonus. The breakfast was superb, cooked fresh to order and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms had lovely little touches like fresh milk for tea. I would thoroughly recommend.
Location was amazing - right in the centre of Polperro. The property is beautifully re-done; a little quirky, set across 4 floors with the kitchen at the bottom and the lounge at the top but it's good exercise! The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was very clean.
The breakfast was very good, each morning prepared specially.
The location was idea considering Polperro is a difficult place to find car parking.
The hosts Simon and Jackie were brilliant, friendly and so knowledgeable about the local area and beyond
Loved how friendly, welcoming and relaxed the hosts were. Range of breakfast options was wonderful, as was the presentation and taste, with the finest local produce - the eggs were particularly outstanding. Ideally positioned for exploring Polperro.
Perfect location out of the hustle and bustle of Polperro but only 5 mins walk in. Lovely comfy cottage feel with plenty of outdoor space and seating. Amazing scones and cakes left for us along with fresh bread. Lovely host.
Breakfast excellent. Location with parking was ideal as Polperro has limited access. Live music on Sunday afternoon was a great bonus. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food - good 'pub' food.
The sheppards hut was lovely also the host were excellent. We liked how close it was to polperro a 5 minute walk. We also like the cream tea the host left for us. The hot tub was amazing.
