New room décor was really lovely, packed a lot into the space. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, 15 minute walk to the river and could explore from there.

The hotel is close to Windsor castle but far enough away from noise and tourists.

Lovely setting and in a spectacularly beautiful village with more restaurant choices than can you imagine possible. Accommodation is very spacious in terms of grounds and plenty of parking. The water features in the centre give it a nice relaxing feel too. Room was equipped but has a very student style feel to it. However I needed something close to a particular location and for ease and simplicity it ticks all the right boxes.

A grand building. The back of the hotel faced away from the road towards a golf course and was very quiet. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Beautiful property and huge garden/forest to walk around.
Beautiful property and huge garden/forest to walk around. Thrilling to know that so many prominent historical figures stayed there as well in the past centuries. (Garibaldi's visit, for istance, was a surpise to me!)
The hotel is gorgeous in its glorious setting. The staff at reception and the bar are really helpful and friendly! Wonderful bed and a beautifully decorated, comfortable room.
The deluxe room with a view to a grey, gloomy wall for that price... Hmmm
The private dining with two main courses I chose but couldn't finish both... Hmmm
The worst thing is, that the deposit (pardon me, it's a few thousand pounds!!!), which was taken from my card during check-in, hasn't been returned a month later!... Hmmm.
I loved the building and stay . I thought the building could do with a little update - it feels a bit run down /
Staff where lovely but took me a week to speak to reception / no one answered or called back I had to chase them . By the time I reached them the spa was full which one of the reason I chose the hotel
The hotel is stunning, its very grand and steeped in history. Its tired in places but this adds to the charm. Every where was so clean and tidy and the staff were amazing, they made us feel so welcome.
The hotel is a beautiful historic building located in stunning countryside. There are many beautiful places to walk around, enjoy nature and take photography.
