The buffet breakfast--the same every day--was served up by the cook, who spoke virtually no English. The front desk staff, for that matter, didn't speak English either. My high school Spanish from over 50 years ago made things a bit challenging, although Google Translate did help in a few cases.

The city was nice but the hotel was not. It really need an update. For the money it cost to stay there, you would think it had to be better. I would never go again.
Also be very careful at the beach. DO NOT GO IN THE WATER. The whole time we were there they has RED Flags Waring.
A big group party of people were staying next to us at the hotel. In one of the last night we stayed, We started to hear a lot of people crying. One of the man in the group had gone in the beach/ocean got caught in the waves and drowned. It was so sad that we left early.

The food at the buffet was good, a decent variety was offered, but all very Mexican. Even the dish descriptions were in Spanish, so you are left guessing if you only spoke and read English. Not much in the way of non-Mexican cuisine. Also, if you aren't 30 - 45 with a whole pile of toddlers, you might be overwhelmed. Almost all guests were Mexican families, so it was difficult finding anyone to talk to. And the music every day was LOUD! No relaxing for us! The activity directors were LOUD! We checked out early.

Manzanillo is a wonderful destination.
Manzanillo is a wonderful destination. It is kind of the step-sister to Puerto Vallarta to the north and Zihuatanejo to the south. It gets a bad rap because it is a "port city". You will find alot less tourists and a feel that is more authentic Mexico. If you can arrange a fishing trip, do it! The fishing is fantastic. North of the downtown area, you will find fantastic beaches.

First time in Manzanillo and found it very enjoyable with a good swimming beach for all ages and a beautiful setting. We stayed in a condo in Puerto las Hadas which was such a beautiful location above the port of Manzanillo. Great pool for doing lengths, good restaurant and lots of friendly people. Would return for sure.

The whole Beachside in Manzanillo is a mess.
The whole Beachside in Manzanillo is a mess. Of the 8 km long beach and beachfront around 6 km are houses, ex resaturants and so on that are not in order or even burned down. It is an ugly side, really. Dont know, why a city can come down in this way
Breakfast was NOT American, it was inditues Mexican. Scrampled eggs with hot peppers and vegies, refried beant and tostado chips. Toast , Rolls filled with chocolate, assorted fruit, cottage cheese, some kind of liquid that was HOT and spicy.
cerial, coffee, orange juice and H2O.NO 2 eggs over easy, bacon, ham, hashbrowns, pan cakes, maple syrup { American
breakfast } This is a 100 % Mexican Hotel. Everything needs to be in Espanol, they do not understand English.
The architecture of the hotel is unique and magical. One of a kind. The location and its surroundings are great. The breakfast buffet is varied and good! Views from the rooms can be wonderful. Staff is kind and helpful. The restaurant Legazpi has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere with a live piano man and Terral restaurant has stunning views. In both restaurants the General Manager (El Capi) takes very good care of things! The beach is private, and the sea is calm!
The location is fabulous. the Las Brisas neighborhood is full of bars and restaurants where we enjoyed one good meal after the other. The hotel is slightly off the main road, and right on the beach. The pool is big and clean and the staff very helpful. Long chairs and umbrellas are available to spend quality time on the sand. Communication was a bit difficult due to the language barrier but everyone made efforts. we would go back and stay there in a heartbeat.
Check in was easy and simple. Room was clean and spacious. AC and fan both worked. The lady working there was friendly and tried to solve some of the issues that came up. Wifi was also quite consistent. It's not in Manzanillo, it takes like 40 minutes or more depending on traffic to reach the city centre, but it's close to the beach and there's convenience stores and some bars/restaurants nearby.
Loved the area - the street was one that lead to many businesses, banks and restaurants. loved the pool and beach area. The sea was wonderful fir an early morning swim. I was a bit sick while staying at the hotel so never truly got to completely enjoy the amenities. Hard working girls preparing & serving a decent breakfast.
More or less I liked everything there.
Very, very friendly and helpful owner.
Quiet and cleen place.
Close to shopping and all kind of restaurants and bars. Beach about 300 m. Bus stop in 50 m, easy to get to many different places in Manzanillo. Just get on your phone bus route schedule in Manzanillo.
The room was big and clean. The air conditioner worked really well, so we could stay comfortably. The price is affordable compared to other options in Manzanillo. You can keep your privacy. I recommend this to both solo and couple travelers.
We had a 1bedroom facing the Bay. A quiet friendly resort; easy access to the pools and beach. Easy cab ride to Manzanillo city; easy stroll to the restaurants at Las Hava’s next door.
Location was great, And, the Manager/Staff went out of their way for me, I left my shaving kit in my room, they catches me down, and gave it to me !! Gracias ! I ❤️ Mexico !!
Everything is fine on that hotel, just external noise from neighboors that was calmed down by manager they need to put focus on the schedule for noise, thats all.
