Superb apartment comfortable, clean and a well equipped kitchen.
We were shown to the apartment by really helpful staff. There is parking in a public car park just behind the hotel. 20% discount on charges.
We also had an evening meal at Penny Blue which was also excellent and with great staff.

Dalston village is beautiful, but Carlisle Town, what we saw of it was uninspiring and unattractive.
Lots of road works , confusing road systems and busy. Not a bit like the other lake district towns.
Perhaps we hadn't seen the best of it to be fair.

Quite an underrated town.
Quite an underrated town. The castle and cathedral are very interesting, plenty of history to see. I like it most because you can quite easily travel to fantastic locations from all directions; Hadrian's wall & Newcastle to the East, Ribblehead & the Lake district to the South, the scenic Cumbrian coast to the West & the Historic Southern lowlands of Scotland to the North!

Convenience as a base to visit more of Cumbria.
Convenience as a base to visit more of Cumbria. If like me you don't drive its good to have a base with plenty of public transport to enable you to see a variety of places. Carlisle itself is easy to walk round, everything within walking distance.

I love Carlisle!
I love Carlisle!
It’s a great town with good shopping, history and nightlife
The bars and restaurants are wonderful and it’s very friendly
There is plenty of parking, it’s compact and interesting
My favourites are The Thin White Duke for drinks/food and Bocata bar for live music, atmosphere and great drinks
Really comfortable house, everything we needed, really nicely decorated and fitted out. Good communication with host. Lock box for key useful as our ETA was uncertain. Parked directly outside front door. Tea/coffee/milk etc provided for overnight stay. PLUS chocolates hand-made by host's husband! We stayed overnight twice, on way to/from Scottish Highlands: Carlisle almost exactly half-way between south London and Kyle of Lochalsh.
The hotel is very close to the M6, A69 junction near Carlisle and is perfect for a stop over. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed on our way up for a holiday in Scotland and liked the hotel so much we did the same on our way back. Highly recommended.
The hosts were wonderful and attentive. The view is exceptional. There is sufficient privacy and space from other huts. The hot tub is definitely a great bonus. We came by taxi from Carlisle, and it wasn't a problem finding the property, so that too is an option if not traveling by your own car.
Ideal location, excellent price plus free parking to rear and free wi-fi saves £20 per night. Comfortable beds, good shower, spotless clean and friendly, helpful staff. Train station and plenty of eateries on the doorstep. As a regular visitor to Carlisle this is my first choice of hotel.
The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area outside the centre of Carlisle, although it's not too far away either. The staff were very friendly and helpful and everything seemed to work as it should. Breakfast was good and included in the very reasonable overall price. Ample parking.
Wonderful little B&B, very close to Carlisle station. The host, Leanne, was very welcoming and even accommodated my early departure with a bacon butty to go! The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped. Definitely recommend, great value for the price.
The hotel is in Carlisle city centre, so it is in a very good location. It ls also very close to a large supermarket as well. The room itself was very comfortable, and it was also on the top floor of the building, so there wasn't much noise from the bar as well
The staff were really helpful and friendly.
The place was nice, amazing location across the road from Carlisle train station and very good value for money.
They were very accommodating for cyclists about our seven bikes into a locked room. Perfect!
Breakfast was both plentiful and delicious, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The hotel location really could not be better; the grounds are beautiful, and it is so peaceful whilst being just down the road from Carlisle.
I was upgraded to a 2 bed apt which was just lovely , very spacious and comfortable with complimentary drinks and breakfast items. Staff were very polite, courteous and helpful. Would strongly recommend the Halston Aparthotel Carlisle.
The manager was unorganised and unfriendly and initially told us we had not booked a room.
The occupants upstairs from our room had an all night party and we got very little sleep.
I would definitely not book this hotel again.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, assisted with booking taxi's. First impressions of the hotel was very nice. Room good size and equipped with what was needed for our stay, including iron and ironing board, comfortable bed.
Excellent location with good train access for Carlisle. Picked as an overnight stop on way to Scotland this hotel warrants more. Staff all friendly with mentions for Dan and Maisy who served us at reception and Restaurant
Highly recommend the Cumbria Park Hotel. Location was very close to the city centre where we could explore Carlisle Castle and museums. The staff where fantastic especially Jean who looked after us at breakfast time!
Hotel is in a small village but only a short drive from Carlisle, excellent value for the night if you don't mind staying out of the town and driving. Very friendly and helpful hotel owner.
clean , good location 5 minutes from train station. lots to do in Carlisle and the surrounding areas. lakes , cannot believe the hotel rates on my booking is only 7.7 should be higher.
Location close to train station and all the great things to see in Carlisle - fun trip and nice place to stay. Shower was very nice as was the bed - what more can you ask for??
