Laugharne is an interesting little place, and not too far from the many fine Pembrokeshire beaches all along the coast from Saundersfoot to Freshwater West.
If you stay in Carmarthen be sure to go to Llandeilo where you will find Gold Mines and National Trust’s Dinefwr Park and Castle is well worth a stop.

We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet.
We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet. However, there is more to the town than first glance (just), but too much retail - so much unoccupied. Given history, very little historic class on view. The hey day has gone, what now? Perfect accommodation, very close to town.

There are some really interesting shops and businesses in the town centre. Sadly, in common with many towns, there are too many empty/closed shops and rundown buildings. That said Carmarthen's location is ideal for visiting the NBGW

Carmarthen was a nice town to walk around for a day but I wouldn’t want to stay longer than a long weekend. The castle was locked with no reason or explanation when the internet states it’s open ? Many tourists were also under the same impression as us and miss informed by Google.
Perfect location near to the town centre and loads of bars and restaurants. Hotel has been recently refurbished and looks great.
Staff at reception was super helpful and very pleasant as was our servers at breakfast which was spectacular!!!
Room was very comfortable as was the bed, and shower/bath was spot on.
Loads of space in the room.
Parking not easy for large cars SUV,s but cheap parking available close by.
Would not hesitate to stay again.
Such a lovely place, very quick and easy to find, plenty of space to park, safe for kids as not near any busy roads and private, super friendly baby cows in a paddock just outside, the cottage is really comfortable, slept very well in this bed! The homemade breakfasts far exceed anything you have in a hotel, Marion is such a lovely host, I'd be very happy to stay here on my own as it feels very safe and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!
My friends and I really like the apartment, it’s clean, very spacious, and very comfortable. Away from noisy and busy city. We got everything that we needed, supermarket is just 12 mins away and there’s a pub in front of the apartment. We enjoyed our stay and great location to explore the south wales..Would love to stay in this place again, and I greatly recommend this place.
On arrival we were greeted by two very presentable, polite and very helpful young men. We had a really lovely room with good facilities including a bath. Our evening meal was first class as was the breakfast both served by really pleasant caring staff. Well done Falcon Hotel, we'll stay again.
The location was excellent - right in the heart of the town - and the hotel had an easy and welcoming atmosphere. The family room was a good size with a sofa in addition to the two beds. The bathroom was newly renovated. The breakfast was generous. We enjoyed our stay!
The fact that it was on a farm. The breakfast choices were very good, and the owner just lovely. Friendly & helpful.
The location was perfect for where we wanted to go, & actually would have been perfect for anywhere on that side of South Wales.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
We booked a room for 6 but ended up receiving a room for 8
Due to a leakage from heavy rain.
We only came to stay for the night to go to Skandavel early morning Pooja, so couldn't say much else about the area .
The little snug is a really cosy place to stay in Wales. The location is just perfect with the car easy to move to the nearby town. Thanks Jo for create such a lovely place. And make ours stay just a perfect break out of the busy London 👌 ✨️
We enjoyed the bar, clean and hot showers, and the possibility to check in late at night. The owner/bartender is a great man who traveled the world and gave great recommendations for our travels around Wales. We would love to stay again!
Beautiful location, easy access by road, near the town & the beach.
Tidy, well furnished chalet with everything you need.
Plenty of things to do in the area (30min. drive radius).
Good communication with host.
Good value for money
Location excellent for exploring south Wales. The Garden Shed was clean, comfortable & had everything we needed. Beds & bedding were comfortable and clean. Had a great stay at The Garden Shed.
Staff were very welcomed, bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Had a nice chat with the lovely gentleman who has owned the hotel for over 50 years!
Very comfortable beds giving a good nights sleep followed by an excellrnt breakfast.
Disabled parking bays adjacent toi hotel entrance although limited to 2 places
Fantastic facilities. This lady gives you more quality than the best hotels. So much variety for breakfast and evening drinks. Great value and lovely place.
This location was beautiful the only thing I would say is make sure you drive because it is in the middle of nowhere and taxi one way to town cost £30 .
