Had a very relaxing stay. The rooms are in a cottage style forming two sides of a square. They are well fitted out, being relatively spacious, including a bath as well as a shower. Many nice touches in the room, including fresh milk for tea and large bottles of still and sparkling water which were refilled every day. The hotel is in a good location with lots of places to visit. Petworth House is only a few miles away. There is a bus stop nearby. I used this as a base for walking part of the South Downs Way
The restaurant and bar are just across a very quiet country road. The food was very good, very tasty English breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent. A well thought out menu with a good choice of fare. I had a main + dessert on four nights and none disappointed.
Rated a 5-star inn by the AA, the 600-year-old Crown Inn combines traditional character with modern room luxuries, including flat-screen TVs and DVD players.

Great location for our needs on what is a sprawling hotel site.
Staff pleasant and attentive.
Breakfast catered for every desire possible, I was flummoxed as to where to start eating, so much wonderful choice.
Very comfortable bed and lovely shower room. Our room was well furnished and cleaned promptly.
Very warm welcome in a lovely warm pub . Room was excellent ,very clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and could do enough for us. The young chap behind the bar was a wealth of information and so friendly. We are looking forward to our return.

We stayed in Fernhurst because we were moving house nearby and didn’t want to travel far the next day. The staff were very helpful and made a stressful experience less so . We had a great Indian meal in the restaurant next to the pub
