Breakfast was OK but had better. Bacon seemed to have been cooked rolled up, so some was too crispy other half under cooked, eggs over cooked like mine to be runny.
In the heart of the West Yorkshire Pennines, just off the M62 motorway, this traditional 3-star hotel combines friendly, traditional service with excellent facilities and delicious Italian food.

In general the staff were nice and especially the team at the bar/breakfast. The price paid matched the type of hotel and the type of room selected - reasonably good value for money. The room was clean and, in general, the hotel was clean and tidy.

Wild moorland a short bus trip away. Town full of interesting Victorian architecture. Magnificent mosque just near property. Warm and welcoming parish church. Went to inspiring Mass in 1830's St Patrick's.Canals and waterways at nearby Mirfield.Good base for visiting much of Yorkshire by train. Happy faces - I presume not just because of the fine weather.

Amazing place to stay beautiful location and very clean and immaculate better than a 5* hotel standards were high. Only only flaw and I think this is a problem
With booking.com that they need to be very clear on there page about deposit required by the host once booked otherwise you lose your money . This is in the fine print which like me many people do no read . But the stay was superb and will be booking again .

The house is perfect.
The house is perfect. Be ready for stairs though as it has 3 levels. Had everything you needed (except a potato masher lol). Cleanliness 100%. Parking was plenty adequate. Location is perfect, not too much of a walk to town.
TV in each bedroom is a bonus.
I loved staying there, we were on a trip, we had stay overs in Scotland, London, Liverpool and Huddersfield. Huddersfield was by far the best of the accommodation. I could easily live there.
Would 100% recommend this to other travelers.

The staff at Cedar Court Huddersfield are extremely professional and helpful in all departments.
Good breakfast choice with cooked options if you ask.
Evening food is delicious and nicely presented
Good choice of gluten free options.
Nightmare getting AWAY from a John Smiths Stadium concert!
Gridlocked around the stadium for 2-3 hours.
Many taxi firms refuse to do pick ups at this time.
Seek refuge in The Yorkshire Rose pub next to the Stadium.
Hope Hotel could put on a return transfer somehow!
First concert right next to a hillside covered in trees!
Beautiful Yorkshire countryside with lots to see and do so close by.

It's easy to get around on foot.
It's easy to get around on foot. There are a lot of interesting looking places to eat. The Turkish cafe did a great breakfast platter that was absolutely the highlight of my stay.
A lot of the town feels run down and at night a little unsafe. There are some okay nightlife spots, but on Friday night they were nearly empty, as were most of the eateries I passed.
The room was cosy with really comfortable beds, an armchair, decent shower and a beautiful view. The pub itself has been recently refurbished, still keeping its local village pub charm. Breakfast was included: anything from full English to a bacon sandwich and was really tasty. Richard is a friendly and accommodating host and I would recommend to anyone to stay here in this beautiful village of Thurstonland at the top of the hill
It was the perfect home base to stay with friend and family for my graduation from the University of Huddersfield. Much more comfortable that hotel rooms would have been. Nice homely & quirky touches throughout the property, everything was clean - loved the huge shower too! Its also clearly a place that kids would adore - great for a family stay. I slept in the 'Jelly Bean Attic' which the big kid in me adored haha!
Nothing: There was nothing to like about this hotel. It’s not even a hotel but a house and they don’t have anyone on reception to answer. I tried checking in multiple times and they didn’t even let us in and never picked up the call. I wasted my money for 2 nights and I ended up finding another place to stay for the night which was extremely difficult and uncomfortable. They didn’t even refunded me the amount.
Great little boutique hotel in the centre of Huddersfield, Staff were incredibly helpful, room was spotless, comfortable, had very nice little extras like Molton Brown toiletries and great hospitality tray. A minor observation was that the bathroom was a little on the small side and I did worry that I'd smash the shower screen against the door handle.
Room styled so well, comfortable, cosy. You can tell that there are several well thought out touches and you get a sense of being cared for when you stay here. Breakfast was cooked menu style. Large rooms, everything you want and need and they have not 'cheaped' out on anything such as toiletries and room compliments, was all lovely quality.
This room is well worth the money you pay, compared to any major brand hotels within 20 mile radius it really does out shine the rest. The facilities are great, the host and the team are wonderful and easy to deal with, no need for keys as the doors are coded which I’ve never seen before.
In general the staff were nice and especially the team at the bar/breakfast. The price paid matched the type of hotel and the type of room selected - reasonably good value for money. The room was clean and, in general, the hotel was clean and tidy.
Hotel is new renovated, room size is reasonable for 2 persons. No air conditioning. Window is small which is not enough in summer. Shower is ok. Hotel is 2-3 min from cafe, restaurants and less than 15 min to train station. 5 min to university
All the staff we met were very helpful, friendly and professional.
Hotel was well presented and our room appeared to have been recently refurbished.
Plenty of parking.
Great location for access to Huddersfield and Halifax areas.
Free car parking on site, 10-15 minute walk into Huddersfield city centre, comfy beds, kitchen facilities, very quiet (but we were here on a Tuesday and appeared to be the only guests) and reasonable value for money overall.
The hotel was so close to the town centre and was so clean and tidy .the staff were very polite which means a lot .I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be booking it again very soon.
The staffs who worked night shifts at Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield and Cedar Court Hotel Bradford are the highlights of my stay. They were super helpful and welcoming.
Nice to have a genuine 5 star hotel in Huddersfield! The staff could not have been more helpful when we asked to change to a room with a bath. Very comfortable.
