The breakfasts were excellent. The variety leaves no-one disappointed. The price at £15 was excellent value. The hotels proximity to the Beamish Museum Park is the best in the area.

Very good size room and comfortable, with a four-poster and two lounge chairs. Very good size bathroom and well appointed, with Italian soaps. Very nicely furnished, L-shaped bar, allowed for a "sports" end and a quiet end.

Hotel 52 was superb. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Hotel 52 was superb. Staff friendly and accommodating. Any information requested was given with ease. The restaurant is shared by the hotel and another bisiness. Hotel 52 uses it for breakfast, you hekp ypurself to cereal, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juice and coffee. Tea is available on request as is your cooked breakfast, toast and jam. Staff will even make you more if requested. On a evening the restaurant is run by another company - we were very disappointed with this, they dodn't serve the full menu and the staff were rudr and jad an unacceptable attitude. However this dod not reflect on the excellent service offered by thr Hotel.
We visited here because we was going beamish music museum for the weekend so perfect location.
But at the hotel we was made to feel so welcome. The beds was comfy and it was clean.. the breakfast was delicious nothing was too much for the staff.
The owners was fabulous with us and we can’t wait to return. It felt very homely throughout.
The locals in the pub was also very friendly and the entertainment was brill too.
I would like to say a big thank you to the hotel manager Susan for her total professionalism in meeting and greeting clients.
The staff and even the pub regulars are very friendly making you feel very welcome
I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a great hotel and a great price
Will defiantly be back
Thanks again for making me and my wife so welcome
Really beautiful location, the rooms were gorgeous as was the bathroom. A real little gem of a hotel. We dined next door in the pub which was super handy. We stayed here as we were dropping our son to University in Durham and the Durham hotels were already full. It worked a treat for our son's early timeslot to access his room. Really pleased with our stay, thanks.
Stunning grounds and entrance.
Clean and modern.
Lovely restaurant with nice staff.
Ease of access.
Hotel staff were so accommodating- Susan and Alex really made it such a a wonderful experience.
The highlight was the night porter who ran all sorts of errands for us in the morning. He was a legend but we didn’t get his name!
The locaction of the hotel was perfect for us .the staff were really friendly and helpful. The whole place was really clean and comfortable . We didn't book breakfast but we paid for it at the time it was really great value for money and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly too .over all it was a good experience .
It's a grand hotel and ideally placed for visiting Beamish museum.
The restaurant is a far simpler affair than the rest of the hotel would have you imagine. It is unfussy and pleasant. They also sell a selection of locally brewed real ales (though not currently listed on WhatPub).
It was convenient and close to my sons new house. Very convenient and must say lovely little restaurant Rangos. Beautiful breakfast 😋. The staff at hotel 52 were super helpful and nothing was to mucj trouble 😊 Definitely be staying there again 😀
The room was ok basic . bed was comfortable. Parking easy.
Staff were very good with helping bringing fan milk etc . Turns out our booking wasn’t on the list luckily they were not busy and had space. Not far from beamish as was the purpose of the trip
Staff were lovely. Very friendly, polite and helpful. Hotel is in a really good location for our visit to Beamish Hall which was a short taxi ride away. Breakfast was nice although not included in the little bar next door. Cocktails 2 for £12.
Excellent accommodation in small en suite room in what was formerly the stables for the Inn. Parking by the room. Very friendly pub with good beer. Smashing breakfast. SPAR shop directly opposite. Highly recommended.
The staff where really helpful, professional and accommodating. The locals where lovely had a good chum wag with them upon my arrival back at the hotel after a family wedding. Fmi felt very safe and welcomed in.
The receptionist was lovely , polite and very helpful, also the young waiting staff in the restaurant all had a lovely manner and were polite. The setting of the hotel is also very nice.
2nd visit to this hotel love the location and the rooms. Meals and breakfast excellent, staff very friendly. Enjoyed the lavender field and the chickens.
