Black Ivy is just a 15-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre and features a lively bar which overlooks Bruntsfield Links park. As an Asian traveler, I was unaware that most European hotels do not provide slippers, so I asked a staff member for a pair. The staff was very patient and managed to find me a pair. I later learned that it's uncommon for European hotels to offer slippers. Regardless, I have to give it 5 stars.

The The Bruntsfield Hotel is a townhouse hotel just a short walk from Edinburgh city centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We checked in really really late on a thusday me and my boyfriend because our flight got cancelled to Edinburgh from Amsterdam so we called the hotel and was letting them know that we would arrive after check in time and that was no problem🙏 When we arrived, Liam who worked the night shift was so nice and kind and helped us check in when we where so tired. The rooms was clean and cosy, and the beds were so nice. The breakfast was really good and the staff was so kind and helpful. I really recommend this hotel🙏❤️

A family-run property set in a Victorian house, Castle Park Guest House is located 0.4 miles from the Bruntsfield Links Park and 1 mile from The National Museum of Scotland. Perfect place to stay. David and Ian were great hosts and felt right at home. The breakfasts were home cooked and the quite the value. Rooms were clean and nice. Really made our trip in Edinburgh staying here. Highly recommended booking here!

Location was fantastic with a bus stop immediately outside. Great communication from owners. Felt like a family home not a holiday rental. Really comfy bed. Very spacious apartment. Everything you could want for a break away. Restaurants and supermarket opposite. Although on a main street, the area was quiet and there was no noise in the building. Would definitely recommend this property and would try and stay here again if we needed accommodation in Edinburgh. So much to see, but wear comfy shoes!
