Everything was amazing if you like animals and nature in countryside. The host was very friendly and room was really cozy. Animals were very friendly and welcoming. In the room, you get small bottle of milk and water in a small fridge was very nice to me🥰

Could also call for sausages, burgers, bacon and the like, but we didn't have the time to order those. The eggs were delicious for breakfast! Comfortable and clean. Would recommend to all.

Featuring a private entrance, the farm stay allows guests to maintain their privacy. we didnt have a breakfast as we had a very early start the next morning, the room was perfect for what we wanted lots of info inside regarding use of shower / lights etc, We were met within seconds of parking the car , inside we was provided with milk sugar tea and coffee, the room had been left with the heating on so you could literally walk in slip your shoes off and be comfortable. plenty of space for luggage and to hang clothes good sized bathroom all clean and tidy , towels were provided. So peaceful and quiet almost painfully quiet in a very good way!

There was local pub at walking distance (through a pretty path),with great food and friendly staff. Johnny even set up the wood for us to light a fire after the evening meal. It was a very special evening! Thank you!

The outdoor, rustic, farm house living was as advertised. We wanted a quiet retreat to switch off from the city to go go and we go that at Shirehill. We spent the day in Bath and came back to Shirehill at 16:30 and had a lovely evening. We went for a hike through the valley following the map provided and bonded with sheep, horses and nature ☺️

In a quiet,rural setting,in the grounds of the farmhouse, this is an attractive (old beams etc) building which although compact is well equipped and a good size for the two of us. Comfortably furnished, with very efficient heating, wifi and shower. It felt very homely. Slept very well. Lovely views from lounge windows. Only a few minutes drive from Barnard Castle a lovely rural location. A farmhouse from the outside but the inside is perfectly decorated in Boho Style. (Newly decorated we visited end of October 2022). Great room with a fantastic en-suite shower. The bar/restaurant follows the style. Great food choice,fresh and great service. Definitely family friendly.
