Very friendly and responsive hosts. We booked and turned up five minutes later, and everything was ready for us. Beautifully clean room with exceptional attention to detail - complimentary Welsh crisps and shortbread biscuits, a coffee machine, and two bath robes. Lovely toiletries, too. It's a fantastic (and large) room for a great price - better than most hotels we have stayed in. Great dimmable lighting, too. A very relaxing stay. Thanks so much, Peter and Landon.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Heulwen Guest House is set 5 km from Dolgellau in the Gwynedd Region, 44 km from Aberystwyth. Free private parking is available on site.

Each room comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player. Certain units have a seating area where you can relax. A terrace or patio are featured in certain rooms. Heulwen Guest House features free WiFi throughout the property.

Our stay at Heulwen Guest House was so delightful that we didn't want to leave. Our hosts' welcome was warm and the room was immaculate and cozy. We could step out of our room onto a patio, gaze at the breathtaking view of the meadows, the baby lambs, and the mountains, immersing ourselves in the joy of being in nature whilst luxuriating in comfort. Our days began with a bountiful and hearty full English breakfast cooked to order, and served by Heulwen and Andy not only with a smile, but with genuine joy. Heulwen and Andy were always at the ready with directions and suggestions for our forays from the bungalow. The house is decorated with the most exquisite taste, and although we were blessed with unusually good weather during our stay, we could imagine the pleasures to be had from lounging in the sitting room with a good book on a rainy day. Given the serenity to be enjoyed at this bed and breakfast, it's all the more felicitous that it is located only about ten minutes' drive from Dolgellau, a beautiful old town of stone structures with a number of shops and good restaurants. We can't wait to go back and stay at Heulwen Guest House again.

Many Regency-period features can be seen within the property, such as reeded doorcases, high ceilings and traditional furniture. A large reef aquarium is situated in the dining room and houses surgeon fish, yellow tangs, clownfish and many other species.

Beautiful setting with views of the Mawddach estuary. Our room could not have been more beautiful or comfortable. The owner is a collector of incredible art and crafts from around the world and these artifacts are displayed in every room. The giant fish tank in the breakfast room is amazing! Sophie showed me newly hatched starfish. The two hostesses--Sophie and Marilyn--were absolutely fantastic. They love this place and are devoted to making guests comfortable. We enjoyed walking across the toll bridge to the King George Pub across the estuary for dinner--quite an adventure! Thank you to everybody for making this treasure available to us.

Guests can enjoy meals in the candle-lit dining room, and relax in the elegant drawing room which is furnished with a mixture of Victorian and Edwardian antiques, and has doors leading into the conservatory and garden. The property has a section of beers, wines and locally brewed ales.

We loved everything about Afon Rhaiadr. The hosts Gina & Garath were amazing, so helpful on offering tips & hikes, etc to do in the area. The ambiance when dining was exceptional. We will definitely return when in the area again.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and made to feel right at home. The breakfast menu featured a variety of options, and the breakfast was soo delicious. We had a very good time at Brynffynnon Boutique Bed and Breakfast. It is very well located, the rooms are uniquely decorated and breakfast is very good. Betty and Richard are wonderful hosts, ensured we had everything we needed and provided useful information about restaurants and walks in the area.

Everything about this guest house was perfect. Comfortable and clean rooms with amazing views. Beautiful garden with plenty of seating. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely lounge area to sit and relax. Heulwyn and Andy are brilliant hosts, they can't do enough to make your stay perfect. They chilled our wine in the fridge and when we came back in the evenings four wine glasses were laid out on the coffee table for us! They are so thoughtful! The breakfast is one of the best we have had! Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house tastefully and respectfully adapted for bed and breakfast. Very helpful hosts. The house is set on the hill so you get to spend a quiet evening in the gardens or just wander into town for the pubs and restaurants. The room was fabulous. So ... much ... space! A good night's sleep and an excellent breakfast to send us on our way. Could not ask for more.
