We were impressed with the staff and service.. They were welcoming and attentive. The food and service were excellent. We went back several days for morning coffee and Sunday dinner after we had checked out. We enjoyed drinks outside at the bar. The rooms were large clean and comfortable especially considering it is a 15th century coaching inn. The location is in the heart of the town. Walking distance to everything. We could happily have stayed longer.

We were in town for an event and only stayed for one night - it was a great place to stay overnight. The manager was very helpful, friendly and patient in two phonecalls we had with them because of confusion. The property is easily accessible by bus or even by foot if you don’t mind walking a bit - we walked from the train station. It was a small, tidy room with very comfortable beds.
