Ideally situated on Stranraer seafront, overlooking Loch Ryan and just 5 minutes' walk from the town centre and train station, this family-run guest house offers free Wi-Fi, ample, free, off-street... Absolutely wonderful, clean and so accommodating. The owner was gracious and kind. what a gem of a place. The charming atmosphere and delicious breakfast was such a pleasure. Breakfast was delicious with a lovely hot meal cooked to perfection. Our host Christine was over the top lovely and so welcoming. Every question we asked was answered. Christine was so helpful and willing to give us suggestions on our travel route as well as recommendations for a dinner venue.

Moffat Independent Hostel is a friendly, family run, luxury hostel that has been set up with the outdoor enthusiast in mind. Victorian Building that balanced a modern room/ bathroom with authentic shared spaces and a full shared Kitchen. Super friendly host who was really helpful, we will be back.

This is our third time staying at Thornbank House and it never fails to disappoint. Rang up on the morning for an early check in due to a poor nights sleep the night before and Fiona was very accomodating which I thank her immensely for. Wonderful breakfast and location.
