Ancient wood in the bar area, real atmosphere. Lovely staff and overall homely feel. Breakfast was excellent, made to order. Room very clean and pleasant, with own stairs to balcony entrance. Nice skylights in roof, modern shower room. Brilliant place to stay in the area.

Our host Ros was very helpful and kind. We enjoyed walking to Godalming, popping into the Cricketers for a pint or 2, or having a yummy curry down the road, making the location of this property perfect for us. We will definitely stay here again.

I was worried about noise from the A3 very close by and the bar and terrace below but in fact with the window blind and thick curtains at night this was not a problem at all. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. I can imagine the rooms becoming quite warm (it was during this lovely October weekend) but they provided a fan in the wardrobe for this eventually.

There were lots of thoughtful touches to the room and a lovely view of trees and plants. The English breakfast the next morning was also excellent and I enjoyed sitting in the large garden afterwards. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
