The house was clean and warm. Loved the little touches like spare toothbrushes plenty of loo paper, makings for a few cuppas and washing/dishwash tablets. Kitchen crockery well stocked, good range of pans. Dishwasher and washing machine simple to operate and worked well. The owners were easy to contact via booking.com or whatsapp and responded quickly even on a bank holiday.

Clean and welcoming. Comfortable beds, beautiful soft towels. Shops and take aways nearby. Handy for A1 and local attractions. Usual tea and coffee etc but good toiletries, disposable toothbrushes also provided. Good Comms from owners.

The Old Bakery is the nicest rental property we have ever stayed in. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard the property ensures guests have a peaceful and comfortable stay. The hosts have evidently given very careful consideration to the facilities in the property and we only needed to unpack clothes. The next time we stay in this area, we will be hoping that the property is available for us to use again

Great location just under Penshaw Monument, in the middle of the countryside. Very good facilities in the property and very well laid out. Owner even set up a Xmas tree and lights for our stay - a lovely touch. We also made use of the cafe next door - they make an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning.

This property is absolutely beautiful and in a superb location. Internal layout brilliant for family and outside is stunning. The property owner did everything in his power to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I advise a walk up to penshaw ...fabulous views.
