The Aurora Igloos were so awesome and unique! We liked looking at the sky while lying in bed. We had 3 heaters and they kept us warm. As a family of 4, we had to get 2 igloos. Coffee machine in the shared bathroom was very good!

We had a flat tire when we got to the property and the host went out of his way to help us fix it. Way beyond any expectations!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!! This place is highly recommended in all aspects. I will be staying here again.

The perfect place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the quiet countryside. You even get to visit with their cute cat and dog. It was also the perfect location for our daytrips around the south coast.

Set in Hella and only 22 km from Thjofafoss, Afternoon Cottages offers accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features garden views. We had a lovely stay here. Although remote, it was conveniently located for Landmannalaugar, Hella and the surrounding area. You need a 4x4 to access via gravel roads, but then that is what makes the place so special (gravel roads were well maintained when compared to the highlands - photo in review). Photos do not accurately represent the cottages... They are much nicer in person!
