The location of the Great House is perfect, and is one of the reasons I picked it. It is a unique historical building and has an atmospheric charm; such a refreshing change from so much accommodation. There is easy access to Cardiff by train and the station is only a short walk away. Llantwit has a lovely rocky beach which is only a relatively short walk away and the countryside around Llantwit is well worth exploring. It is a village with a great community feeling and everything you could hope to find in a small place. The breakfast offered at the Great House is tailored to the needs of the guests and is a great start to an active day. Also excellent WiFi which one doesn't necessarily get in that sort of a location. I have been lucky enough to travel the world a great deal and have stayed in a great variety of accommodation and I would very rarely give such high praise.

We couldn't asked for a better place to stay, warming studio with very comfy bed and the view from our windows were amazing. There's plenty of shops/pubs within 10min walk from James place. Very conveniently located in relation to the friends that we were visiting in Porthcawl. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We loved it that our hosts, Jane and Jonathan treated their guests like family. Very engaging but also respectful of privacy. We fully expect to return :)
