Her husband Tom gave us great suggestions on where to go and eat. We wished we had more time to try everything on his list!

It was an amazing experience to stay at Straven Guesthouse. I felt at home, the bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful and warm. Breakfast was a whole variety of delicious dishes, home made and beautiful. The sea front is only a few steps away and I enjoyed walking along the sea promenade to the cafés - and walking along the sea shore. I felt looked after and cared for by Sinead and Chris. Set 1.1 km from Butterfly & Insect World, Glenarch House is in Dalkeith and features a garden and a terrace. The accommodation is 2.1 km from the Dalkeith Country Park. A beautiful setting with charming and quiet rooms. Great hosts! Restaurants and grocery within walking distance and travel to Edinburgh was easily accessible by bus. A perfect way to wrap up our time in Edinburgh.
