Set within the former home of the Rowntree family - a lovely Victorian mansion with extensive gardens, YHA York is just a 15-minute riverside walk to York’s ancient centre. My friend and I booked the quadruple room for ourselves and it was lovely. It has been renovated and you could tell. Chargers by the bed with a light. It was super warm (it was snowy outside) and they ensured the entire building was heated well. The washer and dryer were free which was great as I expected to pay a few pound for each machine. We used the kitchen to cook and it was clean and had everything there. We relaxed in the common area on the big sofas in the evening and it was comfortable and clean. Overall the price for a private room for 2 people it was exceptional including parking. I would stay here again when visiting York.

Set in a stunning location next to Whitby’s famous Gothic Abbey, this historic building offers beautiful views of the coast. YHA Whitby offers extensive gardens, 24-hour access, and a restaurant. Great frendly staff.. Lovely cafe. Lots of communal space.. Comfy and clean bed.. And great view too..

Astor York Hostel is set in a Grade II listed Victorian building, just a 15-minute walk from the historic centre of York. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Everything. I would go back / I will return. Family place, cool kitchen (there’s an oven), bar, living room with piano, chess and video projector, Netflix and co. Close to the centre. The private rooms are en suite.

Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Ingleton Hostel YHA is a Victorian house offering a restaurant, garden and free WiFi. Very good hostel, good area beautiful views and amazing staff. Great breakfast and nice prices.

Set in a secluded valley, this converted linen mill is only a 10-minute walk from the historical village of Osmotherley. Staff lovely, lots of space and lovely location, the village nearby had several lovely pubs and was really pretty. We were two mother with children so the pool table and games were welcome. Such great value

Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Grinton Lodge features many nearby hiking routes and mountain biking paths. Stunning views from the hostel, but the hostel it was wasn't a normal hostel, it was clean, friendly staff, good space and shared facilities were well maintained.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Malham in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, YHA Malham is situated next to numerous fantastic walking and cycling routes. The location cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at The breakfast and the staff during breakfast was amazing Very comfortable bed Free parking Very quiet The self-service kitchen area

Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Hawes features free private parking, a garden and an on-site restaurant and bar. Hadn't stayed in a hostel for a while, but the facilities were very decent in this one. Had a solo room, although without en-suite facilities. The Eastern European lady behind the front desk was fantastic, and couldn't do enough.

Situated alongside the coast in North York Moors National Park, YHA Boggle Hole is next to a bay that was once an infamous smuggler’s cove. The evening meal was tasty and filling and good bottled beer available. The bed was comfortable and the shower very clean and powerful. The setting of an interesting building could not be bettered. Staff friendly and atmosphere the most genuinely relaxed I've experienced. Lots of books to read and local information.

Set in a Georgian town house, Safestay York Micklegate offers spacious rooms with original features, free WiFi and views across historical York. York Railway Station is 300 metres away. The best hostel I stayed in UK, thats all I can say.
