We loved the room so much! It was open, airy, spacious, comfortable, very accommodating, quiet and tranquil. I was massively surprised at how accurate the reviews were. It seemed like a gamble at first, taking my 3 nieces away with me and my husband, thinking they might complain- but they absolutely loved it! So did I. I loved the rustic theme, the fact there were so many beds to choose from- the location of the toilet was perfect for me. I liked that the toilet was so old school using chippings rather than water. There were wild chickens roaming which was super cute. We got to sit and have a campfire going (we brought our own fire wood) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We went to Alton Towers theme park over the course of two days and the location was brilliant for that. There is also a garage just down the road (kinda need a car) which was handy for snack/food and milk etc.

People running the place are really kind, laid-back and helpful. Food was decent too. Our kids had a lovely time. The setting is just beautiful, lovely gardens bordered by the river. Tranquil and peaceful place at the edge of the Peak District.
