The kitchen is huge and really well-equiped (like all the facilities of this hostel!). Showers and toilets are in your room, which is very pratical (and there’s more along the corridor). Reception is open at every hour (if there’s nobody, you just have to go to the Isleburgh community centre next door), you can store your luggage. I am pretty sure I’ll stay again in this hostel!!

We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus. No mass tourism, everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
