If you love to immerse yourself in local history, Castle Cottage is the one for you with the impressive backdrop of Cardigan Castle's East Wing from the dining table, and a lovely view of the Castle's kitchen garden from the outdoor decked seating area. Cardigan Castle is the birthplace of Wales' Eisteddfod, which was first held there in 1176. If walking is your thing, this is a great location for you. The Ceredigion Coast Path starts in Cardigan, and you can walk south to join the north end of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Whichever direction you choose, you're guaranteed to be wowed by the stunning scenery. Our beautiful local residents, dolphins and seals are often spotted along the paths! Family attractions nearby include Cardigan Island Farm park in Gwbert, and Folly Farm and Heatherton amongst others can be found a little further afield. End your days back in lovely Cardigan enjoying an alternative evening at the riverside Pizza tipi or a more sophisticated experience at Yr Hen Printworks.
