Coulter is a small historic village on the watershed of the River Clyde and the River Tweed. Coulter Burn joins the Clyde at Wolfclyde (1 mile walking distance, local fishing permits are available) and eventually flows to the Firth of Clyde on the West Coast after passing through Glasgow. Biggar Water flows through the small village of Broughton and goes on to join the Tweed near Peebles before meeting the North Sea at Berwick upon Tweed. Biggar Adventures organise canoeing trips on both the Clyde and Tweed and the local hills provide many walking routes for different levels of ability. The Pentland Hill range can be accessed from the nearby village of Carlops. Horse-riding the Scottish Equestrian centre is based in nearby Lanark. Fully enclosed garden with ample parking.
