Barcombe Quarry is also famous as the place where a small bronze arm purse containing 63 Roman coins was discovered in the 1800’s. This find is now known as The Thorngrafton Horde and is one of many historic finds in the region. The picturesque village of Bardon Mill is within easy reach of the A69 giving opportunities to explore this historic region by car or train, with the station only minutes away.
