Halsons was built in the early 1800s and is built mainly of flint. The house is tucked away down a small lane ,easily accessible from the main A35 , surrounded by stunning countryside ideal for walkers. Golden Cap , the highest point in the south coast of Britain , is a walk away and due to the elevated position of the house, can be seen from some rooms in the house. Hardown Hill, Golden Caps parent peak is, directly behind us We are in an area of outstanding natural beauty and are close to the World Heritage Jurassic coastline. We ran the house as a B&B for 6 years but have now closed and have built a one bedroom apartment at the other end of the house which is now ready to welcome guests. The apartment is accessible via French doors in the garden. There is terrace/decking area with outside furniture and a bbq . This area has lovely garden views. On the ground floor is the kitchen living and dining room and upstairs is the bedroom, bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The bedroom has stunning views of Golden Cap and Stonebarrow.

Having successfully opened and run Halsons Bed and Breakfast for the last 6 years we decided we needed a change and the house needed it’s final renovation. So we have built and created the Haven. We hope our new venture will also be a success and will give us more time for family friends and our interests .

The Haven at Halsons is located in Morcombelake just off the A35 between the market town of Bridport and the seaside town of Lyme Regis. As well as high street stores there are a large number of individual artisan shops and an antique area. There is a twice weekly market, theatre and cinema, Lyme Regis is a beautiful seaside town with a stunning beach and small harbour. The town has a large number of indivifpdual artisan shops, bars and restaurants, museums and a theatre,
