Stay in a historically significant house in Frome built in 1604. Formerly the home of the Smith family who sheltered the deposed priest of St John's Church (1662); you can peer into the priest hole where he hid whilst you are having breakfast! Also, the house was once home to the celebrated poet Elizabeth Rowe (1674-1737). The house is adults only and has three en suite bedrooms. Room 1 has a fresh Art Deco feel, Room 2 is spacious and it retains its original 400 year old elm floorboards, and Room 3 is a peaceful room with views of the garden. Each room has been uniquely decorated to delight and spoil you. We provide a generous breakfast menu offering locally-sourced and freshly cooked food to order. Catering for all dietary requirements. Free private parking is available for all guests (something of a rarity in Frome). WiFi throughout. Your host will be on hand to provide you with any recommendations or suggestions to make your stay more enjoyable. If you are booking this trip for a special occasion you can contact us in advance to arrange flowers and bubbles in your room. We look forward to welcoming you at Rook Lane House.
