We stayed in room 5. It was perfect. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. We ate that night ordering pate and garlic mushrooms for starters. Then stuffed chicken and steak pie for main. Again it was perfect. Breakfast was just as nice .

Unique location and steeped in history. Room was exactly as advertised. Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Building was full of character, staff were courteous and friendly, parking was easy. Had an amazing meal, steak was cooked to perfection which can always be hit and miss. Bar and food prices totally reasonable and in keeping with the area. Really good selection of beers. Only stayed a couple of nights with my son to attend a family event in the area but would definitely have been happy to extend my visit.
