A lovely property just outside Newbury with a good bar and restaurant. The room was comfy and the fresh coffee was a bonus. Such a shame we could spend only 1 night here .

Within an easy walk of the main shopping area of Newbury, Chequers is a quirky old hotel with comfortable rooms, I think maybe an old coaching inn? Breakfast was good, with a self service cooked selection and a continental table. Not everything on the menu was available for dinner, but we had a lovely meal of sea bass and sticky toffee pudding.

It was near the town centre where we were going for a party. The price was good, cheaper than the travelodge/premier inn . Nice lady showed us to our room. Great for what we needed .

Staff very welcoming. Food was beautiful both dinner and breakfast. Room was quiet, bed was lovely and comfortable. Pillows and duvet were high quality and helped for a good night's sleep need to know where they are from.

Fantastic stay at the Bunk Inn, food, beer and ambiance just what we wanted. Staff were polite, attentive, and very professional, nothing was too much trouble. It was great to see a menu with something different than the normal “pulled pork” tapas was a great surprise! Breakfast was well presented and again a variety of choices. My wife and I had a 2 night stop while we were visiting Downton Abbey, would definitely stay here again.

Great location after spending day at Highclere castle and easy free parking! The room was snug but suited our purpose and the bed was nice and comfy. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was pleasant and not too crowded. My pulled pork and leek pie was very tasty especially with the extra gravy I requested. For breakfast there was a good selection and a good menu. The cooked food set us up for the day ahead.
