What a wonderful experience! Truly unique piece of British Maritime history, with fascinating story. Our room enjoyed serene views across the Medway down to Rochester. Breakfast was simple but just what was needed. Inner Dowsing Lightvessel is managed by a lovely couple who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you!

I couldn't answer about 'value for money' because my daughter kindly paid. There were some lovely touches - from the book of Christmas stories by the bedside, to the retro transistor radio playing Classic FM at breakfast - which was excellent. It's a mile to the village pub for dinner, and I didn't mind the brisk 15-minute walk.

Very well designed, constructed and featured room. Very comfortable and unusually quiet! Breakfast and dinner as you would expect from Wetherspoons. Not cordon bleu, straight forward grub and budget prices. Beer excellent, again as you would expect from Wetherspoons. No parking is available on site but there is a long term 24 hour Council car park about 8 minutes walk away, costing £6.50 per day (when we were there). But more unless you leave before 07:00 hrs. Still pretty cheap. You can drive to the front of the hotel and drop bags.

When we arrived in the room, there was a strange sound. A technician quickly appeared, could not identify/solve the issue and gave us a new room. Quick and adequate action! Room was nice with very good noise isolation (bar/restaurant downstairs was noisy (Friday evening)), but I could not hear anything in the room. Had dinner there: rather "simple", but good value for money.

This is definitely a budget hotel but that is reflected in the price which is super cheap. It is a really old building but we found that it lent it a certain charm. The location is fabulous being at the top of the high street. It has free parking (limited though) and the staff at reception were very friendly and gave dinner recommendations. The room was comfortable, the bath enormous.

Very comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent freshly cooked full English breakfast. Just what a bed and breakfast guest house should be.

The friendly helpful staff, really interesting decorations/ornaments, a really nice traditional pub/inn, the food was delicious, I haven’t had a steak like that in years, my wife had the fillet, and I had the rump. The rump was amazing, and of course the fillet was great. The room was great, breakfast was lovely, a really nice stay.
