Breakfast and dinner as you would expect from Wetherspoons. Not cordon bleu, straight forward grub and budget prices. Beer excellent, again as you would expect from Wetherspoons. No parking is available on site but there is a long term 24 hour Council car park about 8 minutes walk away, costing £6.50 per day (when we were there). But more unless you leave before 07:00 hrs. A technician quickly appeared, could not identify/solve the issue and gave us a new room. Quick and adequate action! Room was nice with very good noise isolation (bar/restaurant downstairs was noisy (Friday evening)), but I could not hear anything in the room. Had dinner there: rather "simple", but good value for money.

It is a really old building but we found that it lent it a certain charm. The location is fabulous being at the top of the high street. It has free parking (limited though) and the staff at reception were very friendly and gave dinner recommendations. The room was comfortable, the bath enormous.

The rump was amazing, and of course the fillet was great. The room was great, breakfast was lovely, a really nice stay.
