Despite the latter their good restaurant was busy and we had an enjoyable 3 course meal for £20 (Tues and Thu evenings and ? Friday lunch). Would make a lovely short break and there is another nice pub doing food a 5 minute walk away if you fancy a change..

Accommodation is provided in a block to the rear of the main building. There is plenty of car parking. Rooms have a ‘barn’ theme. The accommodation is quite spacious and the beds are comfortable. There is a small bathroom with a corner shower. Wonderful heated towel rail. Windows overlook the pub garden which is picturesque. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Dinner and Breakfast are available for an additional price. It is best to book in advance as the pub gets busy.

Food was good. the pub was very busy but the staff reserved me a table for dinner. I was on my own and the table was right by the toilets. I asked if another was available and they gave me the last free table (outside in the garden).
