With a great location just 1 km from the A34 and 1.5 km from Newbury town centre, the hotel has been refurbished to reflect its 17th-century heritage. We made a last-minute booking at the Hare & Hounds in Newbury, and it was fabulous! They followed up our booking with a lot of questions, including if/when we wanted a dinner/breakfast booking, what kind of tea we wanted in the room, and if we were celebrating anything (which we were). When we arrived, the staff were amazing and friendly and had our dinner/breakfast booking ready and had decorated our room for our anniversary! The room was obviously newly renovated, as was the whole property. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were delicious and again, the staff were very friendly. Their patio looked lovely, but it was quite stormy, so we couldn’t take advantage. We wish that we could have stayed longer, and have told our friends in the area about the hotel and restaurant so that they can pass it on to other visitors. We will definitely book here again when we are in the area. Thanks!!

Situated on the outskirts of the village of Shefford Woodlands, The Pheasant Inn boasts a traditional restaurant and a cosy bar with an open fire. Room very comfortable and clean, food is absolutely fantastic! Staff is very helpful and friendly!

Set in the village of Winkfield in Berkshire, The Winning Post is Hart is a premium village inn serving locally sourced produce on its modern British menu and a selection of ales, fine wines, and... Room was basic but good. It was all the things that matter that made it a joy to stay. Comfy bed, Hot high pressure shower, warm fluffy soft towels and a wonderful Pub/Restaurant downstairs and the breakfast was an unexpected bonus.

The Windsor Trooper is an 18th century public house and inn, with 9 cosy rooms to welcome you. Probably the best pub in Windsor and very clean and well supplied rooms on site. 10 of us travelled and 10 of us had a great time.

Set in a former Coaching Inn, The Three Swans Hotel, Hungerford, Berkshire boasts traditional charm and period features. Clean and nicely decorated. Very good value for money.

Situated 10 miles from Royal Windsor Racecourse, The Bird In Hand is a 14th-century four-star inn, 4 miles from Maidenhead. Comfortable room, great decor! Beautiful bathroom. Fresh coffee, tea and hot chocolate etc are beautifully presented.

Excellent room superb for 2 visitors (and a baby cot), super friendly and helpfull staff, great facilities around the room (free coffee & tea), good location to visit Newbury or Hungerford and National Trust locations, good parking availability and great dinner option for any night before rolling to bed.

The Bull Inn Pub features a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and water sports facilities in the beautiful village of Stanford Dingley. The inn and the pub were absolutely delightful and the drive down from Oxford was beautiful. The vaulted ceiling in the room was a wonderful surprise!

The Ostrich Inn is set in Slough, just 5 km from London Heathrow Airport. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Historic and quaint with great pub and hospitality 🥰
