Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is a historic grade II-listed coaching inn with stunning features dating back to 1669 and possibly even earlier in origin; much of the original building still stands. My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic night stay in Wendover! The property recently completed a +£2M renovation in July 2021, and the downstairs restaurant/bar/patio looks inviting. Breakfast was delicious, with splendid service - and our room, although cozy in size - was masterfully updated with plenty of power outlets (and USB plugs), with a nice rainshower in the bathroom. Everything from the Sipsmiths Gin, and the stylish, wall-mounted mini fridge were well thought-out touches. We cannot wait to find another occasion to return!
