I feel I have to mention the very high standard of food. Its not the run of the mill bar food here. Its food fitting of a Manor house. I only wish we had stayed longer to try everything on the menu. All very reasonably priced as well. Real ale behind the bar and an open log fire. Large selection of drinks and food all day and the breakfast was spot on. Whether you are looking for a place to stay or after a meal with a proper local feel then you won't be let down if you give the Manor House a try. Well worth a visit.

The ship inn's location/accommodation/gardens and breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for nicer,such welcoming hosts my wife and I felt like we were part of the furniture and most certainly will be coming back again 😃

The Redwell Inn se găsește în Barnard Castle, la aproximativ 26 km de Locomotion: The National Railway Museum și la 30 km de Brough Castle. Clean and staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Victoria inn se află în Durham, la aproximativ 20 km de Muzeul din Beamish și la 24 km de Stadium of Light. Lovely to stay somewhere with real character. We loved sitting in the bar in the evening. The two ladies behind the bar were really friendly and we learned some history about the pub. Because we have stayed before we were given a complimentary bottle of wine. Thank you very much x
