Just how wonderfully it had been restored with up to date comforts and amazing en-suite with super cool barn doors and sash windows you can open!!! We slept like babies in the bed after a lovely meal in the restaurant and woke up refreshed before having showers to our next stop - will definitely recommend to everyone and eat/stay again. I've stayed 3 times at The Alma. The rooms are great and comfortable, the food is outstanding, including breakfast and in the pub restaurant, and the beer is perfect too.

Very friendly personal and quarters to feel comfortable. We liked the existing coffee and hot chocolate powders on the desk. Especially the breakfast was funny and delicious with this nice cook :-)

We always stay at the George mainly based on its location and staff Joey on reception was extremely helpful in many ways during our stay and is a credit to the organisation

Swan Hotel ligger i pittoreska Thaxted, knappt 13 km från flygplatsen London Stansted. A lovely room, a warm reception and a good meal

The Fox Inn ligger i Matching och har en trädgård, en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. Värdshuset har gratis WiFi och ligger ungefär 26 km från Chelmsford tågtation och 30 km från Hylands Park. Excellent accommodation close to Stanstead Airport with wonderful pub restaurant and great staff. Lovely to have air conditioning in bed room!

Kings Arms Hotel ligger i Stansted Mountfitchet, 2 minuters promenad från Stansted Mountfitchet station och 14 km från Audley End House. Frukost serverades inte, men för mej spelade det ingen roll eftersom det fanns ett utmärkt café rakt över gatan. Puben var trevligt och det fanns flera restauranger inom någon minuts promenadavstånd.

The Cricketers Clavering ligger i Clavering, 9,1 km från Audley End House, och erbjuder 4-stjärnigt boende med en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. What a fantastic surprise! We booked the Cricketers last minute and, although it was late at night and rainy, we managed to find the pub where we were quickly shown to our two rooms. They were both warm and welcoming, with every amenity you could want. My grown daughter was thrilled with her room which was designed with a bit of pink. Ours was a bit more woodland themed and very serene. The bathrooms were top notch and mine was perfectly handicapped accessible. I have limited mobility so I could take a shower without risks. The breakfast was amazing with food cooked to order and many other delicious options. The entire complex is perfect and I wish we could have stayed longer. Nearby market town was SO fascinating for shopping and food!
