I tend to walk from the station to Beachy Head and carry on...

I tend to walk from the station to Beachy Head and carry on walking till I reach Birling Gap (non-stop). I am not young and I take my time. I am getting better and better each year at walking up hill, from the bottom of the first hill of the 7 sisters (where there is a cafe). It is a reminder to cut down on sweets during the year. I know that I shall have to climb that first hill.

This is a very beautiful place to walk.

This is a very beautiful place to walk. If you know the history of this place it is also very sad. Not for small children, cliffs could be very dangerous. There is also a couple of pubs to visit with lovel food.

Take the Hop-on, Hop-off bus from the Pier or the Lifeboat...

Take the Hop-on, Hop-off bus from the Pier or the Lifeboat Museum £10 for 24 hr ticket). Make at least one hop off at the Beachy Head pub and visitor centre from where you can walk to the cliff edge to see the lighthouse. Bus takes you round several other landmarks and eventually back to Eastbourne, with a running commentary

Great circular walk from the end of Eastbourne promenade...

Great circular walk from the end of Eastbourne promenade then up to Beachy Head, toilets and pub, then onto Birling Gap, toilets and Cafe, then to East Dean, great pub the Tiger Inn, then back to Eastbourne. You can also walk the seven sisters from Birling Gap. Big tip....don't be a fool and step over the fences at the cliff top...its eroding badly and not safe, you still get amazing views without going that, but we still saw people do it to take a selfie right on the very edge next to danger signs. Why would you do it? Beggars belief. It is a great walk up there, you need reasonable walking shoes and the weather can change very quickly. Enjoy.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a sea view room and were not disappointed at all. We looked right out onto the waterfront. The hotel is convenient to many restaurants as well as all the attractions along the waterfront. From the hotel, it's also just a nice walk to Beachy Head Cliffs which are gorgeous. Well worth the walk.

Chris and Caroline were terrific hosts to our stay. They stayed in communication with us before the trip and helped us plan our visit to Eastbourne including finding a great Indian restaurant to eat dinner at. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The location is very convenient if you want to visit Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
