Fantastic views of Bass island and the sea from Belhaven pod. The owners of the place were extremely lovely. They left eggs from the ducks on the farm for us as well as chocolate bars and cheese. We were arriving late at the property and they left the keys to the property in an easily accessible place and the lights on for us to get into the property without any problems. Extremely thoughtful.

It is completely livable year round. The neighborhood is so peaceful and well connected it feels like a home away from home. You will want for nothing and the extras are a pony, two minature pigs, and a baby sheep. The river is spectacular and the local spots like Laird and Dog are perfect. The 31 bus goes into the city every 30 minutes or so and you don't have to deal with any tourists. The ancient cemetery is moments away and makes you think of the William Wallaces of the world. Living history at its finest.
