This is an incredibly beautiful place. The setting is idyllic. Quiet, beautiful. Fantastic views of Bass island and the sea from Belhaven pod. The owners of the place were extremely lovely. They left eggs from the ducks on the farm for us as well as chocolate bars and cheese. We were arriving late at the property and they left the keys to the property in an easily accessible place and the lights on for us to get into the property without any problems. Extremely thoughtful.

Situated 12 km from Muirfield, The Lodge At Gilmerton House, North Berwick features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Great communication from our host. Lovely treats left for us which were very unexpected but welcome after a long journey. The lodge is beautiful, quiet, comfortable and with everything we needed for our stay. Would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

Set in Kirknewton, just 16 km from Murrayfield Stadium, Highfield Cottage offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. Gorgeous little cottage, with beautiful gardens and views, very peaceful. Would highly recommend.

Located in the village of Lasswade, Kevock Vale Park is a quiet holiday retirement park on the North Esk river, 10 km from Edinburgh. The property has everything you would want or need as a family. It is completely livable year round. The neighborhood is so peaceful and well connected it feels like a home away from home. You will want for nothing and the extras are a pony, two minature pigs, and a baby sheep. The river is spectacular and the local spots like Laird and Dog are perfect. The 31 bus goes into the city every 30 minutes or so and you don't have to deal with any tourists. The ancient cemetery is moments away and makes you think of the William Wallaces of the world. Living history at its finest.

Orchard House Lodges by Ecohuman has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Haddington, 16 km from Muirfield. Location was perfect for the great golf courses around and very close to Haddington town centre. The bed in the Loch Lomond lodge was extremely comfortable.
