The stair gate is listed as a positive feature but is a bit of an obstacle if you don't need it for kids.

Moonpenny cottage had lovely views over the surrounding countryside - put your binocs in to spot the birds. Holmfirth is close & nice to visit.

The host is very friendly and helpful. Location ideal for the peak district. The accommodation is exceptionally clean with a well equipped kitchen. Highly recommended and would visit again.

The only thing that could of been better described on booking was the enclosed area at the back of Daisy cottage was shared with the cottage next door. There’s some tables and chairs outside which would be lovely to sit outside in good weather with the beautiful view, but I was uncertain if I could use them. This not a complaint at all it’s just a suggestion as some people would prefer to know.

Beautiful cosy little farm, so cosy, sofa and bed very comfortable, DVD player for nights in. Fantastic beautiful walks in the area not far away. Pub food around the area was lovely as well. At the farm there are fresh eggs and honey so I popped £4 in the loyalty box on leaving for some honey because it’s my favourite. Would 110% recommend and I would definitely go back

The homemade honey and fresh eggs was excellent. There was plenty of local walking trails only approx 5 minute drive away or only a 30 minute drive to most popular attractions. The host Sally was nice and friendly but not intrusion. The cupcakes was a really lovely touch.

A wonderfully peaceful stay. The weather could have been better, but that is beyond the hosts capabilities. The cottage was far enough out of town to be peaceful, but not too far to get groceries.

There was no information about arrival, might have helped if we had been told the property would be unlocked with keys inside. Could do with a bigger recycling bin as it was overflowing on arrival and not emptied until end of week

Fantastic location with lovely walks very close by. Spacious accommodation with beautiful views from the lounge.

We stayed in the small (one bed) accommodation and it was first class. A very comfortable, well equipped, cottage with views over lovely countryside. Perfect place to spend a few days. Dogs made welcome and secure with a gated patio. Eggs and honey for sale - what more could anyone want?

Due to the farm being off a busy road with no pavement you need to drive to park up further away to start walking.

Great location for exploring the surrounding countryside. Nice and peaceful retreat to return to after busy days. Owners were lovely but not intrusive.

Softer towels would have been nice. Being very picky, more up to date Tourist Information would have been good, particularly in relation to local pubs/restaurants, but given the Covid situation, I appreciate this would not be easy. Other than that, for a short stay it was perfect.

Lovely location with great views across open countryside. Although we didn't get to really meet the owners due to Covid, when we did see them, they were very friendly, smiling and waving, plus they left us some lovely cakes for our arrival. We liked the upside down nature of the cottage, providing for good views across the farm, where we spent time trying to work out whether the cows were small or far away :-)

It was difficult to find the cottage on arrival, the directions on the farmhouse door were not clear, and there wasn’t anyone to ask. The postcode sent us to a different location initially. It would be helpful for the owners to email guests specific directions.

Nice setting and easy to access Sheffield and Peak District.

It advertised friendly hosts, we never saw anyone only a brief hello from 2 men, no idea who they were as hello was all we got! WiFi was poor unless you where willing to divulge personal information however the free wifi at the farm gave you basic access. It said fresh eggs and honey, we tried at differing times of the day and night, no eggs and no honey. Whilst it was great to take my dog, it was difficult to let him run free as I was aware of livestock in the fields so this was not really possible. I would say dogs are welcome, rather than dog friendly. The cutlery and utensils needed to be washed before use. I appreciate the owners are working farmers with a very busy life style.

Location was okay & easy to find. Did not collect keys as the property was open on arrival. On the whole the property was clean and comfortable, and the owners have not cashed in on upping their prices due to the pandemic.
