The room was outstanding. Roomy, clean, comfortable beds, opening windows with cushioned seats in them, and an exceptional bathroom. Coffee and tea making facilities that included fresh coffee and a press, as well as a thermos with milk. Very friendly people, good food, although, due to a busy Sunday the Cheeseburger was sold out, but that always makes me happy as they then do not come out of a freezer. Breakfast was perfect. Many choices, even up to a Bloody Mary if you are in need of one :-) Location right next to a road (hey, it is an inn...), ample parking and very close to Stourhead House. Also an easy couple of hours from Dover which makes it a nice target for your first or last night in Britain.

Herb cottage offered us something we considered a true English experience. And In addition to that, we got to know a truly remarkable person: Our host Suzanne. Suzanne made us feel at home and went over and beyond to help us make our trip an experience we will cherish forever.
