I have been to Seahouses almost every year since 1991!
I have been to Seahouses almost every year since 1991! I have also been almost all round the British coast, and nowhere beats Northumberland. Seahouses has a perfect mix of scenery, wildlife, entertainment, shops and is very friendly and unpretentious. A great place in it's own right and a great base for the rest of the coast and county. Even after over 25 visits I'm not bored of it! So much to see, do and enjoy. A must-do is a boat trip to The Farnes - ideally with Serenity as these are the best trips with nice knowledgable staff.

Beautiful working harbour adorned with lobster pods, plenty of day trips to visit Farne island, fish or drive. Lots of independent shops which is nice to see but best of all a great choice of eateries for breakfast, lunch and evening with the quality first class. The fish& chips were so tasty and the Italian was so atmospheric with such flavoursome food also you can walk everywhere easily

Seahouses is a perfect base to explore from.
Seahouses is a perfect base to explore from. Lovely little town with amazing coastal path. If you enjoy walking you won’t be disappointed with this area. Superb scenery from Seahouses to Lindisfarne. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and discovered a lovely old traditional smokehouse in Seahouses. Before walking to Holy Island we enjoyed a coffee at Beal Barn with panoramic views. Driving over to Holy Island an option if you don’t want a very long walk ! Overall enjoyed excellent hospitality everywhere we visited. We’d need a full weeks visit next time to really appreciate that coastline. Stunning ! The Snug a cosy base for the two of us with parking right outside our door

Seahouses is a lovely place something for everyone.
Seahouses is a lovely place something for everyone. I especially enjoy the harbour and the boat trips. Love neptunes fish and chips . Gone to the farms island gift shop for many years it’s an Aladdin’s cave.
Car parking fees at seahouses main car park are shite !
Hotel is good value, a great bar/ restaurant, breakfasts are amazing, and lady who looks after it is fan bloody tasting! Best poached eggs and butter is to die for, [ according to my dietician]
An amazing pub, quite quiet at this time of year, a massive contrast to summer, but Bar staff amazing, despite having to put up with a local leek club bloke who bored the tits off anyone in the pub about his renault ecu unit and brake block - feck me !,he needs to get out more !
Very comfortable bed and breakfast with very friendly and helpful hosts. I stayed with my daughter on a trip back from Scotland and we came via Seahouses to see the puffins on a Farne Islands boat trip. We loved meeting Donna and Paul. They are hosts who clearly greatly enjoyed meeting their guests. Huge and delicious breakfast. Good attention to guest preferences, eg. Donna provided me with a flask of oat milk for tea in the room when I said I was dairy intolerant. You never get this in hotels!
Everything, decor is stylish and gives a luxurious feel.Location was a pleasant walk from the centre of Seahouses.Dog friendly. Milk butter and bread teas and coffee provided for our arrival prompt service from Carolyn and Kevin when we had a problem with the toaster....a new one arrived with Kevin within 2hours of my reporting it.Also nice enclosed garden for the dogs and long drive which accommodated our van and car beautifully.
Very clean and lovely comfortable bed. Warm welcome and nice people. It functions well as a 'hotel room' but has restrictions (see below). Seahouses itself is nice, with access to plenty of things to do. Quite a walk from the Stables at night, but not too bad as long as you are fit and able. Easily accessible by car, with plenty of parking. Lots of places to eat in town but busier than we expected so booking is recommended.
Dog friendly hotel with very helpful staff. Our room had a balcony with sea view and was a wonderful spot. Dog enjoyed it too as lots of lovely beaches nearby to run about on.
Lovely breakfast.
First time visiting this part the UK and we really enjoyed it, We were lucky with the weather too !
We were in Seahouses for an event. The owners adapted their Breakfast and booking-in timetable to our requests. The position of the stay was perfect for walks, seaside facilities and Bamburgh Castle.
The owners are friendly and chatty, with complete local knowledge.
It’s understated but comfortable esthetic. The staff. The location. The little restaurant is good. The breakfast is nice. The sitting area / lounge is lovely and the proximity to stellar walking and beach and tide pools and sunrises is tip top.
We loved the quiet area and the hot tub.....so spacious for the kids- we were two families with three children 7-14 years old. Garden was fab and lots of space in the house. The owners were very helpful and made sure our stay was enjoyable
What a fabulous place really nice and clean only a 10 min walk to the center of seahouses . The breakfast was cooked to order and off the very best standard. The owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us .
Everything from arrival to departure was perfect. Wilf and Kate were lovely hosts and we would certainly recommend Wyndgrove House for a stay in Seahouses.
Car parking on site was a bonus.
Hopefully be back soon.
Host was very friendly and helpful the room was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated.
The location was good very easy to walk into town and quite central for driving around the area to see the sights.
Lovely cosy and clean cottage. Wood burning stove was a lovely addition. Bathroom was very warm and spacious and lots of hot water. Short drive to great beaches and to village shop. Dog friendly.
Excellent location, just a short walk to local pubs, restaurants, shops the harbour. Ideally placed for day trips to Bamburgh, Holy island, Farne islands etc. Spacious and clean property.
The property is very well equipped and everything is immaculate. It is very well placed right in the centre of Seahouses, within a couple of minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs.
The links hotel was excellent , very clean, lovely room in annex , the meals were first class and the staff were absolutely lovely and could not do enough to to make our stay perfect
Suzanne and Steve were the perfect example of hosts. Happy and courteous and always ready to top up your tea or offer advice regarding the area. A credit to Seahouses.
