It felt like we were staying in our own apartment! The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a big en-suite. Having the huge diner/kitchen was a lovely bonus, with lots of food supplied by the hosts so we could make our own breakfast and have drinks & snacks during the day.

Upon reading some of the reviews, I was quite skeptical to book the room, especially as I was traveling with a 5 year old kid. But for 44 pounds, I thought we could try it and if we didn’t like it, we could just get to another hotel. The hotel met my expectation just fine. The check-in process was a breeze. The lady who checks you in is very kind and understanding (unlike some of the bad reviews). She gave us a room with 3 beds as I had a child with me; we chatted a little bit and she was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of our stay. She has been with the hotel for a decade and is an extremely kind and knowledgeable manager. The hotel and the rooms are old but very clean. The linen, the towels and the room was spotless. We had hot water; a kettle with tea and coffee. Plugs are not in perfect places but keep in mind its an old building. The location is right in town center; 5 mins walk to a Waitrose and 10mins walk to the train station. I had absolutely nothing to complain about. Keep your expectations aligned with the reality that it’s an old hotel and you will be fine.

Very clean the owner met us at 3am after long flight and helped us get settled in Even checked we got a taxi thr following morning the room was immaculate My little girl even got a ice cream cone when we left in the morning will definitely be staying again

Location is near to London Stansted if you have a Car. The rooms were nice and clean. Very comfortable beds. Working wifi. Nice location.

I stayed one night in one of the dog friendly rooms. The staff are incredible. The stunning view is lovely. The bathrooms were very clean, and bed is very soft. I believe that It was one of the best superb country house in this area. Its location is very close to Stansted airport, and it has a parking area in front of the main building. Finally, Breakfast with reasonable price was lovely!! Swedish oven was amazing!! Eager to make your time there enjoyable!

Everything, although as we were on the top floor, it did get quite warm overnight and the fan provided didn’t quite cool the room down. Nevertheless, this summer (Autumn, as it’s now mid Sep) has been an Indian one at that with days exceeding 30+ deg.

Very good value venue for overnight accommodation when collecting my Colleagues from Stansted Airport. Although I gathered it wasn't the responsibility of the Proprietor of the Indian Restaurant these rooms are above, I hadn't got the access codes I required through the Pre-Registration process, and ultimately he was more than happy to help. He benefitted from my Custom as well, so can also recommend the food and drink available here!
