It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. B&B of the highest quality, in all aspects. The hostess was very helpfull when news came that the only nearby pub did not serve dinner anymore.

We were a 10 minute walk to the train station. Steve was very accommodating with parking and early check in. We arrived early and took in The Little Cheese Festival in Caerphilly. We enjoyed a great breakfast on the first morning.

Set 1.1 km from Abergavenny town centre, Cherryberry Lodges has barbecue facilities and garden. Around 9 km from White Castle, the property is also 10 km away from Grosmont Castle and offers free WiFi and private parking. Llanthony Priory is 12 km from the bed and breakfast. The shepherds hut and the cabin are both fab. You have your own kitchen, bbq, lovely hot shower and get the best breakfast as well. Sarah is a brilliant host. Can’t recommend enough.
