It's position overlooking the sea. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and new white fluffy towels. The nets were mouldy and it was all quirky!!

The Crawfield Grange was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We were asked what we’d like for breakfast the next morning and it was all freshly cooked to perfection. Lovely hosts, great accommodation.

Friendly welcome from host(s) who obviously enjoy their role. Nicely presented room with all amenities, fridge stocked with milk and bottled water, kettle and plenty of tea and coffee was a nice touch as well.

The harbour area is lovely to wander and pause for a coffee. The beach has an extended walk way, but it's mostly a pebble beach. There's an open air swimming pool for warmer months, and several places to eat including excellent fish and chips! The area around the market square has a lovely range of small independent shops to explore.

Stonehaven is a beautiful seaside town located just twenty minutes by train south of Aberdeen. I can highly recommend visiting the old town siuated around the harbour and old pier which by far are the most attractive parts. Also highly worth visiting is Dunnotter Castle which is just thirty minutes walk south of the town. On the way to the castle you pass a war memorial atop of a hill which is also worth a visit. I also visited Dunnotter Church. Unfortunately the chutch itself was locked, however the graveyard was very peaceful and picturesque. And as a bonus Stonehaven claims to be the birthplace of the battered Mars Bar, which you can sample if you so wish...

We visited Stonehaven to experience the Fire Ball event at Hogmanay. This is the second time we have been and it most definitely did not disappoint. It was fabulous.
It is quite a small town and over New Year a lot of restaurants and pubs were shut but this is to be expected.
We really liked the Ship Inn at the harbour and the Market Inn on the Market Square. There were a couple of nice gift shops and easy access to the beach.
There is a bus running between Stonehaven and Aberdeen which we would have taken had we more time. There is also a castle close by (you would need a car).
The locals are really friendly and make you very welcome.
Overall I would recommend Stonehaven and look forward to returning in the better weather to experience more of what is on offer.

The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm.
The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm. The castle is a bit of an uphill struggle, however there is a bus. Unfortunately if you suffer from vertigo it probably won't be for you.
We've been told that it is great for watching dolphins and seeing the Northern lights unfortunately we didn't see either but it is a great place to go. We'll certainly be back.

It’s a lovely friendly town , plenty of cafes and individuals shops . It has a good beachfront and you can walk to the castle . We enjoyed the walk but found the actual castle a bit underwhelming and it’s quite expensive for a family , it doesn’t have a cafe or gift shop and the toilets left a lot to be desired , when we go back we’ll just do the walk and take a picnic for down at the beach . The kids loved the park beside the leisure centre and Aunty Betty’s ice cream shop was a hit
Comfortable, clean room and ensuite bathroom. The hosts were friendly & helpful & nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The access to the kitchen, washing machine & tumble dryer was much appreciated. The self-help breakfast was plentiful & had a good selection. It could be taken at a time to suit the guest, which was great if one wanted to have a lie-in. Location was good and within easy reach of places if interest etc. It was also in a quiet area. I will definitely stay here again if in Stonehaven.
The staff at Number 44 were faultless. Went the extra mile to make our stay all the better. We had contacted the property ahead of schedule to ask for their help and they could not have done more! Thank you so much that. Michelle in the restaurant works tirelessly and keeps on smiling, a real asset to the hotel. Food was of a high standard, so good in fact we eat there both nights we visited. I would highly recommend this property if travelling to the area if only just for dinner.
The on site facilities with horses and everything were excellent we were even able to watch a horse jumping competition it was great. The staff were excellent so friendly and would do anything for you. Only five minutes into the beautiful wee town of Stonehaven and Aberdeen only about twenty minutes up the road. Couldn’t fault this site in anyway as two grans with two grandchildren it was excellent.
Breakfast options(lots of veggie/vegan options too) were great and very nice. Bathroom was good for what we needed. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Great walking distance into town. We ate evening meal at the famous fish and chips takeaway "the Bay" then walk around the harbour. Lots to see in Stonehaven.
We loved our Scottish cottage in the woods, it was the perfect base for visiting family in Stonehaven and exploring the area. Thank you Evita for your warm welcome, and for providing everything we needed - tea/coffee/small milk, toilet rolls, sheets and towels, hand soap, paper kitchen towels and more.
Great location to walk around Stonehaven, free street parking. We didn't realize there was a washer on site and were pleasantly surprised as we were about 7 days into our trip and our clothes needed to be washed. Great breakfast, clean space. Host was very communicative on check in, check out, etc.
We had such a nice welcome, and found the bedroom extremely comfortable, with a lovely view towards the sea. The breakfast we had was delicious, and we enjoyed speaking to the owners. It's in such a good location too, and we enjoyed being able to walk from the house to other areas of Stonehaven.
Great location on the Stonehaven harbor. Parking just around the corner in a large public lot. Short steep walk up to the war memorial with great views of the castle and town. Plenty of pubs and take out places to eat in the area a short walk away. Our room was large and comfortable.
This lovely small hotel is located beside the historic Stonehaven Train Station. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and a true full Scottish breakfast. The price for the breakfast and room were very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.
The breakfast was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. I bar is one of the best pubs in the UK with an outstanding food and drink menu. The beach in literally outside the front door and the view from the room must be the best hotel room view in Scotland.
Hosts were so sweet. We so much appreciated the recommend to eat dinner in Stonehaven at The Bay Fish and Chips. We don't even care for fish, but it was amazingly yummy. Facility was so clean and nice and charming. Lovely country setting! Highly recommend!
We never saw anyone in the reception area, no matter when we passed by, but the bar employees were very helpful. We liked the breakfasts. One of our rooms (#14) had a very nice view. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice and big.
Big apartment right in the heart of Stonehaven. 2 minute walk to the beach. There's a supermarket literally next door and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment has a kitchen and everything else you might need.
The property was perfectly positioned to explore Stonehaven and the surrounding area. The flat was tastefully decorated as well as being fun and a bit quirky! There was a lovely ambience with careful attention to detail.
The property sat right on the harbour with great views. central to everything that Stonehaven has to offer. Jane was a wonderful host…always cheerful and helpful. wish we could have stayed longer. an endearing place.
great property in the heart of Stonehaven, perfect for the beach, market square and harbour. The property was spotless had everything we needed for fantastic stay and was just like home from home.
Staff were nice and helpful, great location beside the beach and harbour. Food in restaurant good as was the breakfast.
My first time in Stonehaven, it's very pretty with lots going on.
